This the plywood slat wall that is now complete, we have integrated mirrors, curved screens and a hidden door, in this final part of the build we make up the curved plywood slat screens and fix them in place with some tips and tricks along the way
We are using this new StreTek plywood from Falcon timber, this is a really nice alternative to birch ply that has become really expensive in recent times for more information

Excellent, ( what else did I expect ! ) Ed is one heck of a very fortunate young man Robin, to have you as his mentor. You can tell though as time goes on he is very bright and becoming very skilled in his own right. Thank you for the effort you put in to share it with us all, it’s a privilege to be a viewer.

@@ukconstruction absolutely beautiful craftsmanship Robin. I’m a carpentry & joiner and I can really appreciate the time, effort, accuracy and overall standard of work that goes into everything that you do. I do wish that I had a mentor like you through my training. I basically had to self teach myself my mentor is a great carpenter but he was never interested in teaching and passing on knowledge of our trade. I’d love to come and see what you guys do in the future. 👍🏻

Re the finishing treatment, i've used Osmo raw on oak worktops and it seals and protects them really nicely with absolutely no change to the natural surface and colour.

Top Class. I’m a bit disappointed with Ed though. He could have tipped just a little bit of water on the floor while Robin was out of the room. 🤣 “Er, Robin, I think we have a leak” 😆

Robin you should be proud of your self how you have fetched Eddie along. He is such a great lad and look at is confident now to where he was when he first started with you. I can not stress enough how important it is to have patients with helping your workers prosper in their achievement to be a great asset to your company and reparation. I employ a lot of young lads and girls in my electronic company and they all are a delight to have on board. And on fathers day they all give me a present and a card so what does that tell you. And Robin has the same mentality. Well Eddie now you are getting better than Robin lol. Take care guys and thanks for your great work. Kind regards David Patel

I was a little confused when you attached the right hand curved screen as it looked liked the corner (pointed end) of the screen did not meet up with your 323mm measurement and the pencil mark you drew. I am sure you were spot on but did not quite understand the purpose of the measurement

@@ukconstruction Thank you Robin for your quick reply. I did send the message before i watched the whole of the episode and then saw a closeup of the one you had so did a quick search and found it had been updated. I will get one ordered as it will be better suited than the 18guage Bostitch I have, for some of the work i am doing around at home with some Oak architraves and other bits. I am not a carpenter but am very ocd ( or i should say cdo - as the letters are in the correct order ... lol) with any of my work. I'm an Electician by trade myself but I wish i had gone into Carpentry like my brother, although he is a school teacher now. I watch your episodes with great pleasure and i understand how much time it takes to make even a short video, so its very much appreciated. Look forward to the next one. All the very best of health to you God bless Peter Forgot to mention i already have a small quiet compressor, its a Bambi PT5 and it works a treat for all the small things i use it for. But thank you for also adding a link to the Stanley one. Mind you, you can never have too many tools!
