Our Story:
We are Carissa, Iwan & Frankie the sausage dog, and in 2020 decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month we were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call home. We picked up Albi, Joao and Simao the cats along the way, as well as Diogo the podengo and a flock of chickens.

Your video is BRILLIANT. Descriptive narration that captures the Value in this unit from the start! The more “artful” (techie less confident) can see immediately the ability to storyteller or evaluate visually without a drone in a tree etc. Showing how easily the landing was is EPIC, having known drone owners who seemed to expect “drone vs operator” footage. First drone video I can envision personal uses from just viewing. Success to yourselves and the drone vendor!

LOVE seeing your land on the drone! I feel like we have a whole new view on your land now, it's beautiful! The Hover drone is amazing and so user friendly! I hate using our old drone, I've crashed it so many times, caught myself on the propellers🤣 and to actually use it is a massive faff, I have to charge the drone, it's controller and my iPad before I can even use it. I love how simple the Hover is in comparison, just turn it on and you're ready to go! Thank's for this video, it's made me so excited for our Hover to arrive and start using it!

That is a great little drone It really does a lot. Very impressed with that and it's nice that they sent that to you because it really comes in handy and you don't even really need a stable camera with that. I hope it stays charged a long time and holds up in the long run. I love the zoom on it it's great. I'm totally impressed with that drone. Very nice.

What a fabulous drone, Batteries Not Included springs to mind, best film ever. Thank you for sharing your new toy with us, it'll be very useful in very many ways not just filming but being able to check out the property from the house. WOW guys your land is so amazing!!! Now your viewers are going to enjoy such beautiful shots of your land... It goes for miles the horizon! Just in time, we have the best sunsets around this time of the year. So user friendly. We have a DJI Mini 2 and this one would be so much better because of the tracking mode and way more affordable. You also don't need a license due to its weight. It also comes back to your hand, super clever. Lading the DJI is super anxiety induing specially when its out of battery. I want one! 😂

Ive been looking at getting one for my videos but am so scared of spending the money and crashing it!! This might be the solution with the caged propellers. Adds a new dimension to your videos! Ahh I forgot to mention the battery life.. it’s around 11 minutes on manual mode and closer to 15-20 with the pre programmed flight paths

How many water holes do you have on your property? You seem to have quite a bit of water holding tanks?

We have three wells that are fed from the ground water. We have 4 ibc tanks, 2 of which are connected to the roof’s of each building and then two for over flow.. we do need to refine all this before summer though

What an amazing little drone, just love it and the camera work was great, lovely seeing your property from the air. My husband had a large drone and to say it was challenging to operate is an understatement, at one stage it got lodged high up in our Claret Ash tree and he had to use a very long ladder to retrieve it, I was laughing so much I couldn't speak but hubby was very, very far from impressed. Your little drone does an amazing job and obviously could be operated well from the start without much difficulty. I just love it.

@Iwan ... how does it work to come back to you and land .... is it the sensors that know your hand is there to catch it?

Yes pretty much.. it’s flight paths a preset so it knows to follow same paths. With the dolly track mode if you stand still for 3 seconds it will fly back to you. Once your palm is underneath it will come down to land. The app also has a land button.

Great video, and I love the little clips where the drone 'bounces' off random objects haha. Genuinely, first drone video that's made me want to go buy one, just a shame our budget can't allow it at the moment. One question, how long is the flight time on a single charge? I couldn't find that information on their website 😕 Keep up the great work, it looks amazing down there 👏

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Each battery has 11 minutes on manual mode and 15 minutes on the preset modes. The batteries recharge in about 35 mins which is great.

@FrankieOffGrid Thank you for taking some time out to reply 😊 Not quite long enough on one battery for my needs, so I'd have to pause and swap batteries. Good to know. I think for most applications, the battery life would be fine, and with such a small compact design, it seems a fair compromise. I will be adding one to my wish list 👌

Very informative video, thank you. Is there a button where you "tell" the drone to come back and land on your hand?? I suppose there is but it just looked very special every time it came back and just landed on your hand as if it knew that it was not supposed to land on the ground, if you know what I mean.

There is a land button on the phone app.. but each preset is designed to come back to you. It’s all very clever!

It’s all in the mechanics of the device.. it knows roughly where it took off from and then when you place you hand below it then it will land. All very clever😅

I’m not actually sure to be honest.. i wasn’t able to use the 3k shooting mode because of our editing software - that might have caused the choppiness?

Sure you know best but why pour a concrete slab over your well? Seems like a lighter water proof solution that can be removed relatively easily if needed would answer. Love your channel and your enthusiasm!!!❤️
