The designing of the different components of the conveyor belt and their smooth interplay is truly impressive. The fact that most of the materials are also created by the same company and can be specially fitted according to the shape of the tunnel is ingenious. Shazam! I was in Switzerland in the 70s, on a train, saw a tunnel open and all this military equipment and even planes, the conductor tried to distract us. I guess we were not suppose to see that. It was amazing. I was in high school. Went to Zermatt to ski.
