For anyone looking to get this board, I just did a build with this and a Ryzen 7500f about a month ago. As an overall summery, this motherboard is running quite well so far. I upgraded from an Intel 10th gen, initially I had some issues with really long boot times and my PC not posting but after a few restarts and installing AMD chipset drivers and the motherboard drivers, it seems to be working fine. Other than that the WIFI wasn't working out of the box, and I had to get the drivers from an external device. But once everything has been set up, it seems to be working well so far with no issues.

Glad to hear it! Yeah drivers are installed to your storage, so they always need to be downloaded from another machine.

i also got to update bios to get my ram working, but after that seems to work good, now just to get cpu temp under 200c and is all good xD

You don't *need* both, but most modern PSUs have both so you just as well. Plus it looks better.

Nice glance at this board. Looks like a good combination of features and compromises. I do not like that msi do not print a manual. Sometimes its a bit awkward to read a pdf on a phone. If you are building a pc, you probably can't view the pdf on the monitor.

Looks like it might be a good budget board to pair with a Ryzen 7500f, have you had the chance of testing the board yet? It seems like a lot of budget options tend to power limit so its something I have to consider if I want to upgrade in the future. Also have you experienced any compatibility issues with DDR5 RAM at 6000mhz or higher? Thanks.

Yes true. Not yet, builds will be soon but I have a queue of things to do first. This has a higher power phase than others at this price point, plus the two eight pin eps connectors make me think it'll handle higher CPUs fine. I'm going to use some 6400 with this I expect in an AP201 build, so stay tuned for it.

From the site - Updating BIOS with M-FLASH Before updating: Please download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from MSI website. And then save the BIOS file into the USB flash drive. Updating BIOS: 1. Switch to the target BIOS ROM by Multi-BIOS switch. Please skip this step if your motherboard doesn’t has this switch. 2. Insert the USB flash drive that contains the update file into the USB port. 3. Please refer the following methods to enter flash mode. • Reboot and press Ctrl + F5 key during POST and click on Yes to reboot the system. Press to activate M-Flash for BIOS update. • Reboot and press Del key during POST to enter BIOS. Click the M-FLASH button and click on Yes to reboot the system. 4. Select a BIOS file to perform the BIOS update process. 5. When prompted click on Yes to start recovering BIOS. 6. After the flashing process is 100% completed, the system will reboot automatically

If you can afford it then the AM5 route will be a much better choice. AMD said they will use AM5 for ten years, so you've got multiple generational upgrade paths, where as you've only got a few other SKUs on AM4.

The B650M is the smaller M-ATX and the B650 is full size ATX. Feature wise I'm not sure, I'd Google one vs the other, that's all I'd do to tell you, but you just as well look yourself.

In my region there is non plus version available which is about 30 pounds lesser. It only has 2 ram slots and some features are cut down. Do you think it’s fine for the Ryzen 7600?

I would *personally* go for a 4 slot board, then if you want to get some more ram it'll be cheaper to get a matching set over two new sticks that are twice the capacity.

No, as all the GPUs out now are PCI 4. It'll only run Gen 5 if it actually supports it.

@@jordanashbiggest complain is the gpu slot a bit in a lower position (2nd slot on the case) if you have a matx case that the board sits flush on the floor like dan case a3, plus a 2.5 slot card, no way to install 25mm fans, have to use slim fans. Although my fault not checking first otherwise a nice budget board

I bought this motherboard a few weeks ago when i built my new pc and I don't know if its because off this or something else but when I reastart my pc the screen turns off and the rgb but the fans keep spinning and the pc stays on forever and i heard it could be because of the motherboard

Hmm, could be the power supply. What one are you using? I know some motherboards keep the RGB on, which can be changed in the BIOS, but not keeping everything on.

@@jordanash So, I tested everything, and it's smooth. I haven't checked the VRM temps because I'm lazy. The only weird thing I noticed is some white noise on my Logitech Pro X headset. It's fixed by reducing the volume using the volume wheel, like 5%.

Hey. This is the wrong socket for that my friend, this is for AM5. You'd need a B660 for that CPU. But with the right socket board that's a good combo. Remember to get a DDR5 motherboard too if you're already bought the memory, as Intel are still supporting DDR4 *and* DDR5.

intel is b660 not b650 get an oc board if you need, ddr4 is also fine, get a 12600kf, dont get corsair ram get a hynix kit, 4070s is fine, overclock ram as much as possible and oc cpu and have as good as cooling as possible if you play esports-fortnite/overwatch/valorant etc

Hi Jordan, my dad and I just put together my PC and I'm getting a yellow DRAM LED and a red CPU LED. What does that mean? I have the Ryzen 5 7600 and 16GB of Kingston Fury DDR5, KF560C36BBE. The PC doesnt post at all, it lights up but shortly after turning on, the two LEDs show up. What do we have to do to fix this, if it is even fixable :( ?

Hey, I'd look at the manual for the board online and see what it says and to try. All boards are different so I don't want to guess. Once you have that info let me know what you've tried and how ti's going. Also, what cooler are you using?

My dad and I are gonna take out the BIOS Battery (I forgot the name) and reseat the CPU and RAM. If that doesn't help, I dont know what will.

Yeah look up the led meanings using the online manual, that will tell you what's wrong.

When you reseat the cpu, don't crank the cooler down, do it just enough. *Some* coolers put too much pressure on the CPU and push the pads off of the pins so it comes up as no cpu.

It is a bit cheap for a 7950X3D, I am going to this for a 7800X3D but you should scale the motherboard's price as you scale the CPU. I'd get something more high end, like the Gigabyte B650M AORUS ELITE AX

Again, that's a cheaper motherboard. You need to scale it, so get something more premium. If you can afford the highest tier CPU you should be able to afford a higher end motherboard to run it.

I think you'll have a harder time finding a board because of the generation - they're focusing on AM5 now, Try ebay?

You *could* but I'd personally use something a bit higher end, it doesn't really match that well.

You could, but I'd use a more premium so the balance is a bit better. This is like using a Ferrari engine in a Honda Civic, it'll work but could be paired better.
