Part from Beijing Opera “Execution of Chen Shimei”
In Song (宋) dynasty (960-1279), Cheng Shimei (陈世美) won the 1st seed in the entrance exam for central government officials. Appreciating his abilities, Princess married him.
The truth is Shimei already married Qin Xianglian (秦香莲) at his hometown. Years later, Xianglian and their kids came to Kaifeng (开封), the capital of Song, to find him. To hide the truth, Shimei ordered Han Qi (韩琦) to assassinate Xianglian and the kids. After knowing the truth, Han Qi let them go. Han Qi was forced to suicide for this.
After escaping the assassination, Xianglian files lawsuit against her husband.
Bao Zheng (包拯), or Bao Longtu (包龙图), is the judge of the Supreme Court of Kaifeng.

I just love to listen to this part (besides the meme), because even the audience gets excited with this moment, because Chen Shimei finally have his crimes revealed to everyone. If you listen carefully, there is a man in 4:11 in the audience that chokes after the reading of the accusation.

I don't watch full this opera but there's the same series of films about bao qing tian with some parts and each part has some episodes..... In the end bao used emperor sword to judge and force cutting his head before another (the red clothes guy) using 'block dead bar' to save his life (idk what to call it in English ;)) ).

Chen Shi Mei found guilty. but before Judge Bao can execute him, the Princess and Empress Dowager came to threaten Judge Bao to release Chen Shi Mei or the Empress Dowager would commit suicide. at first Judge Bao wanted to settle by giving some taels (money) to Qin Xianglian but she refused and accused him as corrupt as the other officials. It realized Bao and he took off his hat and ordered Chen Shi Mei to be beheaded despite the protest from the princess and the Empress Dowager.
