The old dress would have looked so much better without the 3 tiers at the bottom. Had it just been one of would have looked so much better. The three looked a bit like a toilet brush

Okay I’m literally so mad right now. She definitely did not make the right decision in my opinion. However the ruffles that the bottom wasn’t the best decision, I would have chosen that one to make the dad happy. He literally cried.

I would have picked the something borrowed, as it would have been a ONE OF A KIND wedding dress. Nobody else will ever wear one exactly like it. The one she picked is a standard that everyone can pick. But, each to their own. She looked great in both of them.

That's what I was thinking! I have a black one almost EXACTLY like it from like 10 years ago, but it doesn't have the awesome criss-cross skirt at the bottom.

I love both dresses, but I didn't like the bottom of the borrowed dress. Her dad is so awesome. The new one was the one I liked better and it reminds me of the embroidery on my dress that I wore. Beautiful. Great choice. She looked amazing in both dresses.

What bothered me about the borrowed gown were the lace straps. The lace was just folded over, which gave it a homemade look. Had it been cut to avoid folding the design, it would have been so much better. And then I could have decided about the ruffles!

Both beautiful, however, the borrowed dress looks like it would be very uncomfortable to have on all day. The pressure put on these brides for the borrowed dress is really too much.

@@Zeannaaa - They do. On several videos the actual brides commented. Many of the brides wear the borrowed when walking down the isle and the new one during reception and party.

What's the point of completely redesigning the borrowed dress into something unrecognizable. The older dresses are often very cheaply made and no amount of bling can help them compete with the gorgeous new gowns.

The new dress looks like every damned dress out there. When they try them on at 'Say Yes to..', they try on dress after dress-and feel strongly about them-when they're basically all the same, with the tiniest differences. And everything is strapless. Which, to be honest, everyone -shouldn't wera- doesn't look good in.
