Fear 1 to me was the best. 2 I liked but few of the story elements kind of brought it low. Not low enough for it to be a bad game. 3 should be shot to shit then it's grave shit on. I personally loved the dlc for fear 1 extraction. It was may more terrifying and story wise held up better than 2 as a sequel.

@@Darek_B52 You remember that clip about going to the medic's office? Alma's WHY they knew they needed to control the psychic powers those kids wielded. You have to understand one thing. All the paranormal stuff happening in FEAR 1 was while she was in the containment shell. It worked fine until Harlan opened it. It just didn't suppress her. Death didn't suppress her, she was dead before they even locked her away in it. When you have to fend her off in FEAR 1 near the end she's genuinely just trying to embrace Pointman because she knows he's one of her kids. She's just so damn powerful even he can't survive it at that point. There's definitely a lot of rage in her heart, but the rest is just being able to kill someone with a flick of your wrist. Or breathing.

Any soul will become evil if nothing but wrong is done to it its entire life. Get tortured from the day you were born until the day you died while simultaniously being powerful enough to obliterate entire cities. That alone could send someone to insanity, alma wasn't a monster she was a tortured soul, it's why the theme of the first game is. "They deserved to die, they all deserve to die." because in reality they did, they made that evil.

Yeah I agree. This may be controversial but in hindsight but I was thinking that maybe I would have preferred if the series went in an anthology route. It could still be a horror FPS, but have each entry be centered around a different threat the FEAR organization faces. Akin to an FPS SCP if that makes any sense. However, maybe that’s just me.
