I remember in my childhood 1980 in Sialkot the same culture .tandor charkha ,kho , lassi ridhikna , Kia bat thi, her cheez pure thi, raat ko sab log ekathay mil kr batain kahaniyan sunaya krtay thay.huqay ki Gur Gur aaj bhi meray kanon mn bajti hai, magar aaj jitna kuch badal gia hai mobile TV aur paisay k lalach ne sab kuch badal dalta hai..

My mum was very little at that time...i love listening too my mums stories as a little girl in punjab and all the naughty thibgs she used toi do ..she youngest of 5 sisters ..my mum moved too uk with my dad...i am nri ..but love old stories from my mum up bringing...i always ask her questions...i have never been too her pind in Punjab...dont no why ..must do one day...only stayed at my dads pind..on holiday.but my dad passed away y years back so got closer too my mum ...and i want too know everything about her life before she got married and moved too uk

Remembrance of this culture is still alive in Haryana's villages, and Punjab's villages today. This culture demonstrate love of people to each other, unfortunately, we can't expect the same culture in today's life. We had the Same water resource for irrigation as a " Rehat". My Grandfather always told me about the old life, I always felt Awesome, and Inspire their Hard work.. Thanks Man for sharing this video..!

7:10 A Sikh teacher writing on black board in Urdu ( probably a question of arithmetic). The majority of students are Sikh with a few Muslims ( wearing topis ). Before 1947 all government schools in Punjab used Urdu as medium of instruction. Therefore, all Sikh, Hindu or Muslim students or teachers knew Urdu perfectly. Hindi, Sanskrit or Gurmukhi were also taught as optional subjects. Some Hindus or Sikhs, in fact, did not know how to read and write Hindi or Gurmukhi.

orientlover1 that was because the english ppl were seeing punjabi language develope alot, too bring it down they gave urdu the status of medium of instruction, They just didnt want punjabi to grow, If they had make Urdu official but punjabi instead, todays official language of pakistan would be punjabi and not urdu... The englishmen stamped in their head that punjabi is foul language, it is evident in some of the punjabis mind

Those who preached unity among Punjabis once it was united must learn how people left side of Jhelum and Ravi (pakistani Punjabi) treated right side of Jhelum which belongs to india after partition there were large trains full of people's dead bodies specially females it was all documented in india which gives you Shiver n wrench your heart. So dear folks don't hope for time machine to go back in partition cause that event is beyond imagination always learn from history. Pakistan was made out of bargaining n till date pakistan is bargaining for everything to everyone.

yaqeen jano.. main khud iss culture mn 1996 tk rha hon sialkot mn.. bara sakon tha.. ab sab kuch badal gia hai..sobah sobah lassi wali madhani ki awaz se aankh khul jati thi.. chiryun ka shor.. kavon ko aata dalna .. lassi aur makhan se nashta.. sheher janay k plan bnanay k kitnay bjay ki train se jana hai.. aur soday lay kr 1 bajay ki train se wapas aana hai.. i think boht enjoyful life thi.. choti choti devarain..
