The boys looked good. Much better ball control, speed, skill, strength and stamina to play 90 minutes with good intensity. This was something that was missing from the Indian teams that used to play in the period between the mid 1980s up to 2015 or thereabouts. The ISL has made a positive impact so far on Indian footballers of today but a lot more needs to be done. They have to work harder on their play in the air and connect more headers. Every player should have the stamina and strength to play with good intensity for 120 minutes. When they're able to do that, their confidence will get further boosted and that will bring out even better performances from them.

I think weather conditions also play a important part you know. If you are practicing in India and have to play somewhere in the middle east or Europe, then it will show some impact on players.
