Mistakes were made by not sending Dhoni up the order after 3rd wkt fell quickly instead at 7, instead they sent pandya & pant ahead who had to curb their natural game. Besides in this match even playing test innings like 60-65(100) instead of getting out would have done better, which I think a late stage MSD is pretty capable of doing.
