Were we scammed? Why did the price suddenly go up? Was it a misunderstanding or a scam? What's your take?
Anyway as you see in the video we found it funny so no hard feelings towards our Jaipur bus dude regardless of scam or not. I liked him.

Mr bald the price just hike in seconds is for a reason. 230 rupees was for sitting and 450 was for sleeper class ..it was communication gap not a scam.

@Cyrus your question have your answer bro 1st they call the name of bus (non ac sleeper) in India people use to say like this only because they dont have any other option rather than name it self to give detail of bus if Mr Bald wants the AC bus they will say it like AC bus sleeper only. 2nd you can see in a video he was asking again and again Mr Bald wants to sleep or sit in his jorney because he wants to be sure. This shows us this was miss communication.

Jaipur to Jodhpur ₹450 for sleeper non AC bus is the right price. He didn't tell you the price before he told the timing 12:30. ₹900 was the first price you could even bargain on that price also.

I wasn't too sure about you two at first , but I see now how you are both able to empathize and show good will to a degree that most travellers I have met in India don't. I have been visiting India since 1997, my last visit for three months in 2016 . So many things have changed, noticeably the amount of cars on the road... Your vlogs have got me yearning to return. What actually happened here is that when the old man said 12 30 (bus timings) then Mr Bald misheard it as two hundred thirty and believed it to be the price at 0.56 and then again when Bald reconfirmed it at 1.02 then this man unknowingly nodded or just ignored because its visible from his face that he is not good in english Price was never discussed by him before making the ticket

1:03 He says "Twelve thirty", that is the time of departure, not "two hundred thirty rupees", as you understand. He tells you "one thirty pm" on 4:45. So it means it's better to come at Twelve thirty and the bus will start à One thirty PM. He's not a scammer, but he works for a private company.

He never said ₹230 Mr. Bald he was repeating 12:30 which was the bus timing. . at first go even I thought he said 230 but after playing the clip again I found out he was clean. And the amount you paid was actually good for such long distance travell.

He said "Two Hundred Thirty" . Maybe 230 means 12:30 but at 4:44 he clearly says "1:30 pm" so it is unlikely (but not impossible) that he said 12:30 before. It seems it was 230 normal seat, 450 sleeper.
