Relying anymore on US tech would be a big mistake. The American's are not happy citing the Pannun situation and are looking for leverage on us. If we go for US tech then we will make a big mistake as US has shown in the past that they are always willing to use military deals as bargaining chips.

Lets see can we survive without US equipment. Answer is big no, with all of our indigenous jets powered by US engine. We have lot more US equipment in our forces. Any equipment which we purchase will have some US components. Either buy russian junk and be happy that there is no US component or buy any superior western equipment. Only socialist inspired people worried about US equipment

@@SomeGuy-yb3sl We need to explore ways to co develop subs and ships with the French. Sure there might be some cons there as well but compared to US it seems a much safer option. Also, we need to push harder for indigenous development of crucial tech. We are still using British made ejection seats on our fighter jets.

Remind me again, why were neither of the 2 designs offered by France acceptable? I dont recall it being anything major... I've become a MASSIVE fan of the recent idea to seek agreements to partner on 75I Subs, AMCA's Jet Engine, and a modern Carrier. It would satisfy India's needs, and honestly, it is quite possibly the only country besides the US who could offer that much tech. It would also give India a partner who can *Actually* help India evolve, rather than keeping them customers like Russia has.

@coolkal7590 i can agree that a 100,000 ton Nuclear SuperCarrier is unnecessary for coastal defense. However, with India trying to become a greater player on the world stage, you do need the prestige and power projection of a modern carrier. I do think India could get away with another smaller, non-nuclear carrier. But, it would still need to be capable of using Steam or EM Catapults, both usually need nuclear. But, if they can utilize similar tech to the type 003, and it does work as intended, that could be a great regional carrier. I know French tech isn't cheap, but nothing good is. Is it better for India to spend less, but get nowhere? Or spend almost as much over a longer period of time to still be behind or get practically nowhere (Kaveri engine?) India deciding to pivot to the west, even for nothing more than technology and economic reasons, could alleviate a lot of ToT concerns. Or, i suppose, India could try partnering with Iran to get their stealth, nuclear, space, and radar tech. If they had it. Im just not seeing a lot of options, but i really enjoy watching India evolve, so im hopeful.

Yes,I agree, too much red-tape, India must stop looking at cost and joins the French to concurrently build at least one 750000 tonnes supercharger with evals and nuclear powered now that will be something that the world will admire and make all enemies think many times before any conflict, for once spend the money and that country will achieve formidable respect.

@@cgtim3230 did you ever heard about arjun mbt program. And amca 5th gen program. And when it comes to drdo they are not innovating anything new they are simply just upgrading them. I wish our india should make progress in robotics and start Autonomous fighting vehicles in defence. And you told about ins Vikranth. It's a newly built aircraft carrier but it's design is very far old and it is having only normal technology. And there is no advance or future compact systems in that carrier. Iam an Indian and I want to see my nation as great in top order. Due to corruption in defence services they are not going to do nothing. My one question to defence analysts. Why it took 34 years to build a main battle tank and the design is also disaster?. Still it's not fully inducted into defence. Answer my question

India is the only country to have operationally deployed Swarm drones... We are the first country to successfully land on moon's South pole... AMCA project is proceeding at pace, there is nothing wrong in the AMCA project.. Arjun was successful project. It is better than T-90 in every way. However, it follows the design philosophy of West as it was made it collaboration with Germany and is therefore heavier just like Abrams. Army later decided they wanted to continue using Russia modeld because Pakistan has weak bridges that won't be able to take such large weights..
