The way Odisha took the responsibility for field hockey some state should take up football. States like Kerala, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Goa etc have quite a decent fan following in India.

We as Indians have a problem of focusing on only few people in a particular field let me give some examples 1. Amitabh Bachchan , Salman Khan , Shahrukh Khan - Film Industry 2. Mahendra Dhoni , Virat Kohli - Cricket 3. Ambani and Adani - Entrepreneurship People in India have a very narrow mind we make the greater too great but forget to support others as well. But I am glad that now this trend is changing and I hope we make a better future ☺️❣️

I myself a hardcore indian football supporter, to be honest our team has to level up their game. We are not the only one with supporter or budget problems, usa, Australia, New Zealand all these countries too face this supporter problem, yet they had better results than our team. Even countries like Iraq syria had a better play style without proper infrastructure.

Bhai, after IPL: ISL is the most searched Sports League in India. It's not like no one watches games or etc. ISL has 2nd highest attendance of any football League in Asia and clubs like Kerala Blasters, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal have millions of fans. Even recently in Manipur, without proper marketing and advertisement the stadium was sold out every time. Even games on KZfaq involving Indian National Team have millions of views. It's absolutely wrong to say no one cares about indian football.

Thanks for the video. As a fan of football, yes I agree I watched only European leagues. But it's been sometime that I started watching and supporting Indian players and clubs. It's one of the best and comprehensive but brief about past, present and future of Indian Football.

The problem with the "fans" is that the ones who were talking a lot about Indian Football during FIFA Ban or during Qatar 2022 wondering our qualification in WC, only 10% of those celebrated when we recently defeated a higher ranked Kyrgyzstan 2-0 and jumped to 5 spots in FIFA Rankings, also that 10% will be the same number of fans who will actually watch our team in Asian Cup 2023, just like the last edition when there was not much coverage when we defeated Thailand 4-1 and won an Asian Cup match after 55 years

The attendance in stadiums in WB, North East, Odisha, Kerala, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka are huge. Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and MP are also good football hubs of India. Except pockets of Punjab, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Himachal football is not followed in North India. In India football occupied 35% market last year. Cricket was highest with 55% sports market. So it clearly shows Football is a popular sport in India. Money is also increasing. Players are getting professional contracts of more than 1 crore value.

Being an avid Indian Football fan who wishes to see our team in the world cup i am very much impressed by the topics you covered. There are a lot of football fans who follow only European leagues and their excuse is that watching Indian Football team isn't as entertaining as a European Club. So my take for those people is that with the current development in football we can see that there's a good future out there for Indian Football. There are domestic leagues and tournaments happening for every age groups. The clubs and academies are working on grassroots and development of the youths. And observing all these developments and progress makes me proud. Yeah we want results but we had a rough patch for 20-30 years and it won't be that easy to cover that up. Victory is sweet but when you watch them grind and grow into a champion it gives another level of satisfaction and happiness.

Kalyan chaubey (Current AIFF president) was a football player himself (Goalkeeper). So i have some hopes about Vision 2047. Also it is not too dramatic (for eg. statements like we would win the world cup by 2047 etc. are nowhere present), it looks realistic (among top four in Asia). Also there are 5 year intermidiate steps involved. So lets hope for the best and lets support our team India in football.
