man i saw this today at my relatives place...i was walking my dog and i didnt even knew it was in my way until my dog started barking at it.... although it ran away but i almost shat my pants because I've heard a lot about it's tail whip and how it can cut your flesh

Its nice you guys released it back where it belonged. BTW its not venomous, there are only two known species of lizard which are, the Komodo Dragon of Indonesia and the Gila Monster of North America

India has a large population of monitor lizards. They don't grow nearly as large as dragons though.

It's a monitor lizard and very common in India. Komodo dragons are only found in komodo island, Indonesia. And they are much bigger than monitor lizard.
