You should watch Shankar Mahadevan's Movie "Katyar Kaljat Ghusali", It was his acting debut as well. it's a Marathi-language musical drama set in the British Raj time. I'm not a Marathi speaker myself but one of my Marathi friends suggested this movie, I really enjoyed it. and I'm pretty sure you'll also love it.
