7 sehliyan, also known as Sateen Jo Aastan is the resting place for the Seven Female-friends. According to folklore these female friends resided here. These unmarried female-friends veiled themselves from all males, a practice called purdah (the practice of preventing men from seeing women). But for the fear of a tyrannical raja resulted in their disappearance, possibly in a cave in the side of a hill. Thus they became satti. It is probable that this folklore has its origins in the Hindu ritual of sati, a ritual where widows burnt themselves or were burnt on their dead husband's pyre.

Very gentlemen and friendly reaction yes sukkur ( sukhh- ar) is third largest city in sindh province of Pakistan having the largest urban census of educated and prosper hindus in business health-care and other disciplines of life,this is indeed a very beautiful and even a romantic city like any Indian city because it has a very extensive resemblance with the cities in Gujrat UP and rajhastan this city has three universities for science arts and business education also has a medical college and a sizeable industrial area,the main languages of the city are Urdu and sindhi both the languages are used simultaneously and interchangeable the city is a bookish example of peace harmony understanding and respect amongst sindhis and mohajirs amongst hindus and muslims however let me confess that human development in sindh is the poorest in the entire subcontinent which is a total impediment in the rapid development of the province like we see in Gujrat,rajhastan,haryana and even in chatteesgarh!
