ഒരുപക്ഷെ രഞ്ജിത്ത് മനസ്സില്‍ കരുതിയ പോലെ, ഈ സീന്‍ പ്രേക്ഷകന് ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കാനാകാത്ത രീതിയില്‍ ഇത്രയും ശക്തമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ തിലകന്‍ എന്ന അഭിനയപ്രതിഭാസത്തിനു മാത്രമേ സാധിച്ചേക്കുള്ളൂ....

മലയാളത്തിലെ മഹാ തിലകത്തിന് ഒരിക്കലും അർഹമായ അംഗീകാരം മലയാളം നൽകിയിട്ടില്ല... ചില മുൻ നിര താരങ്ങളുടെ താര പരിവേഷങ്ങളിൽ മങ്ങിപ്പോയ നല്ല നടന്മാരിൽ ഒരാൾ...തിലകൻ ചേട്ടൻ അഭിനയത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ എന്നും ഒരു പിടി മുന്പിലായിരുന്നു .... അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ഇടിച്ചു നിൽക്കുക മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് ഏറെ പ്രയാസവും ആയിരുന്നു അഭിനയത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ.

രഞ്ജിയേട്ടനോട് തിലകനെ അഭിനയിപ്പിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല എന്ന് വിലക്കിയവർ പറഞ്ഞു... രഞ്ജിയേട്ടൻ അപ്പോൾ പറഞ്ഞത് ഇങ്ങനെ, ശരി ഈ റോൾ ചെയ്യാൻ തിലകൻ ചേട്ടനേക്കാൾ മികച്ച ഒരാളെ കാണിച്ചു തരു ഞാൻ പരിഗണിക്കാം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു... അവർക്ക് പിന്നെ മറുപടി ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു...

I have not watched this film, and I do not totally understand Malayalam since I am originally from Sri Lanka. But I am a big fan of Thilakan, and I know many who are like me even though they do not understand Malayalam. He is the best!

@Arun Nair: There are two things that make this scene great. One as you mentioned Thilakan avargal (In tamil avargal is a respect for seniors) and his unique style of delivering this dialog with right emotion and volume. Another important thing you did not mention, is the language. Malayalam is the language that made this dialog and scene unique.

ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടു പോയ ഒരു വൃദ്ധൻ, ജോലി ചെയ്യാനുള്ള ആരോഗ്യവുമില്ല,എന്നിട്ടും അങ്ങേര് ഒരു ജോലി തരപ്പെടുത്തിക്കിട്ടാൻ വലിഞ്ഞു കയറി വരണമെങ്കിൽ അങ്ങേരുടെ അവസ്ഥ എന്തുമാത്രം മോശമായിരിക്കും, നല്ലപോലെ വിശപ്പുണ്ടെന്നത് സീനിൽ കാണാവുന്നതാണ്. ഞാൻ ഇടയ്ക്കൊക്കെ ഇവിടെ വരും ആ last dialogue കേട്ട് കണ്ണ് നിറയ്ക്കും.😌

ഈ സീൻ കണ്ട എല്ലാവരും, എല്ലാവരും എന്ന് വെച്ചാൽ ഇത് ഷൂട്ട്‌ ചെയ്തപ്പോ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നവരും പിന്നീട് ഇത് തീയേറ്ററിലും ടീവിയിലും ഇപ്പൊ ഇവിടെയും കണ്ടവർ വായും പൊളിച്ചു നിന്നത് ഏതാണ്ട് അവസാനം ആ വീട്ടുകാർ നിക്കുന്നത് പോലെ തന്നെയാവും 😂... One of the most impactful scenes this industry has ever produced. Simply giving an appreciation or compliment won't give him justice. Just sit back and immerse yourself into probably the highest levels of acting talent a human being can ever have.🙏

The best scene in a mal movie. That means best situation. dialogue and acting. Thilakan, what a performance. Dialogue delivery super. Oh my God. Watch the scene a number of times and still watching and last dialogues wow !!!!!! A big salute.

Amazing performance. അദ്ദേഹം അഭിനയിക്കുകയല്ല. ജീവിക്കുന്നു. കണ്ണ് നിറഞ്ഞുപോയി. ഈ മഹാനടനെ നമുക്ക് നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടതോർത്തു ദുഖിക്കുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് പകരം വെക്കാൻ ഇനി ആരുമില്ല.

അഭിനയകലയുടെ പെരുന്തച്ചന്റെ ഓര്‍മ്മകള്‍ക്ക് ആറ് ആണ്ട്. കാലം മായിച്ചെങ്കിലും മലയാളസിനിമയുടെ ആ തിലകക്കുറി ഓര്‍മ്മകളുടെ തിരശ്ശീലയില്‍ ഒളിമങ്ങാതെയുണ്ട് ഇന്നും. പെരുന്തച്ചനിലെ തച്ചനെയും മൂന്നാംപക്കത്തിലെ തമ്പി മുത്തശ്ശനെയും കിരീടത്തിലെ അച്യുതന്‍ നായരെയും കാട്ടുകുതിരയിലെ കൊച്ചുവാവയെയുമൊക്കെ എങ്ങനെ മറക്കും നമ്മള്‍ മലയാളികള്‍.

ഈ ഒരൊറ്റ സീൻ മാത്രം എത്രപ്രാവശ്യം ആവർത്തിച്ചുകണ്ടു എന്നെനിക്കോർമ്മയില്ല! അഭിനയം ഇങ്ങനെയൊക്കെയാണ് എന്നുപറയാൻ നമുക്കധികംപേരില്ല! ജീവിച്ചഭിനയിക്കുന്നതിനേക്കാൾ മഹത്തരം അഭിനയിച്ചു ജീവിക്കുക- തന്നെയാണ് എന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണി- യ്ക്കാൻ ഈ മഹാനടൻ ഇല്ലല്ലോ, എന്നതുമാത്രമാണ് ദുഃഖം!

@@lissyjohn7619 Absolutely true. Thilakan has mentioned this in a KZfaq interview. His opponents intervened and denied him visa so that he lost his role in the Spielberg film.
