Over the next few videos, I’ll be making a few touring mods to the Indian Scout. This episode is all about the installation of the Dart Classic and Dart Marlin Flyscreens. The links are below if you want to get these screens for your motorcycle.

Thank you. Just got mine today. Very happy with it. Had a black shroud around my headlight I had to take off which wasn’t thrilled with but still happy with the turn out.

Definitely the tinted for me didn't think I'd like the Marlin but once fiited I actually preferred it to the classic , great review J , hope the weather stays good for your tour 👍🏻

Thanks Dale. Yes, I think the size works well on the Scout. The smaller screens work best on the Interceptor

I don't have a preference really.....both the Classic and the Marlin look equally good on that bike Mr WM. I really like Dart screens, both the design and manufacturing quality is top notch. I know this as I already have a Dart on one of my bikes, and so wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I ever bought an additional naked.

Nice and clear video as usual! Didn't know you got a Scout? Was that the final choice after you test rode the Triumph or its "just" a long term test bike? As i have said before, feet extending further forward than my shoulders is a dealbreaker for me, but that said the Scout is nice looking, especially with the smaller screen IMO. Ride safe mate, cheers!

Yes, I really did like the Triumph but it was just a bit too sensible for a cruiser. Let's see how I get on with it.

Thank you, this made the install even simpler! How do you find the SBV Tools? Good for trips or as general spannering work?

Thanks. The SBV kit is my go to kit for pretty much everything. I did a review recently. I love it.

The screens look great, and I would love to buy one, but they only fit the Scout Classic and maybe the Scout Bobber 60. The rest are out of luck, like my Bobber 20. I don't understand why these manufacturing companies don't follow the far superior Indian design for mounting hardware. Their screen mounting bracket will work for every scout in the lineup. A slight modification and they would work for every Chief model too. Some mounting hardware is so convoluted that you need to be a structural engineer to install them. The Indian screen takes about 10 minutes to install if you take your time, and the bracket takes up zero space on your handlebars or your forks.

Yeah had one on the scout, but I want to see if I can somehow fit one, the marlin, on the new 2022 chief dark horse bobber.. I knocked it would be possible on the two other 2022 chiefs as their forks are exposed but the DHB has the forks covered.. There's the dilemma! Although it has the mini apes which perhaps can be a fixing point on the upwards part of the bar with some rubber pads on the inside of the clamps... Opinions thoughts are welcome. Just love the look of these screens, not a fan of big screens and farings!

I had a dart fly screen on my old 48. It looked great but ultimately had to take it off as it caused so much buffeting.

That’s a shame. Sometimes I guess they don’t work out based on the riders height and the bike.

What color is the tinted one....Is it "Petrol Blue"? Looks pretty good on this Scout. It doesn't look blue to me on the video. Mine is a brand new Scout. Color is Black/Grey. I looked on the website and it looks like only two colors are available. "Crystal clear" and "Petrol Blue". I only wonder if the tinted color would work on my motorcycle. I wish I could get Light black tinted.

I believe it's now called petrol blue, but it's a smoke colour. It's has a very slight blue'ish tint to it. Basically they are either clear or smoked.

The Cowl on the bobber makes fitting these impossible

I notice the tread on the front wheel points *forward* , in contrast to about 98% of manufacturers' setups. Did the dealer make an arbitrary choice, or was that Indian's intent?

This bike is running the Pirelli Night Dragons. I think some of the older bikes had different tyres from the factory.
