Kerala is one of my favourite places in the world. Went there in the summer of 2016. Varkala was my favourite part of Kerala - we stayed on a beachfront hotel and had dinner on the beach every night. Paradise! Food was amazing too.

my grandma in greece had a similar recipe like these mussels but with river crab,first you cook the crab over coals, open the body of it and rinse it under water,then you fill the body of it ( upper and lower part of it) with bread mixed with onions and olive oil and salt and the you toss it in the coals again and the bread inside gets the juices from the shell...powerful aroma and taste!

Actually in Indonesia we also have Puttu but in the sweet version. We put brown sugar inside the puttu and also the size is not big as in india. Now i'm realize that our puttu is originated from India.
