I think this reveals a lot about human genetics and how the different races came to be. She literaly looks like a white woman. There is something we are not seeing in terms of how human skin evolved and that we all come from one commons anscestor.

Although I condemn discriminating against Albinos, it also comes down to the dark colonial past that we went through. So it'a not right to compare it to Europeans who've always been on the receiving end of the spectrum.

@@xlr8_bs514"Always" is not true. It is also only true in some form from the ages of colonialism on because there were whide spread cultural contacts in Antiquity within the known world among all kinds of races, tribes, countries and people in general but they never went after each other because of skin colour when it came to conflict. Ask Spanish and Portuguese people how they get treated in the US, for example. There, they are considered Latinos and not white and are therefore considered to be lower than white people, while in Europe literally no one would say that Spanish and Portuguese people are not white and not treat them different than a Dane or a Polish person. We would say that they are Southeners but never call them not white. That is why I find the colour shit literally so dumb. I mean, they are Europeans and for Europeans other European countries native population is white. The discrimation works different here (of course also being shitty but different shitty!). Ask the Jewish people or Sinti/Roma people how they got treated through the ages, for example. Don't forget that the worst thing ever done to other people in the history of the world appart from slavery, was the Holocaust/Shoa, where white people (Germans plus the never counted Austrians) went mostly against Jewish people which are considered white too. It was not about white, black, brown it was about their crazy race theory with so called blonde Aryans being the master race and everyone else just the bottom. Hitler was not a fan of Slavic people either and they are white too. So no, whites were/are not always on the recieving end. Quite a lot of them have it hard too. The British are for example very unhappy about all the people from Eastern Europe that moved there in the last century. That was a reason the Brexit happened. People just love to discriminate other people. It is sad.

We are all just slightly more evolved chimpanzees that are carried through life mostly by our fear of death and drive to procreate. We are limited by our brains, which have the need to sort everything into neat little boxes. Each one of us is discriminatory whether we like it or not. The best thing we can do is acknowledge this fact and try to be vigilant of it. Try to give people the benefit of the doubt when your instinct tells you to have preconceptions, and try to open your heart to them. Trying to persuade yourself and others that you're pure, good and don't have an drop of racism inside of you is stupid and counterproductive. Only when we acknowledge our limitations, can we work around them.

She is a beauty. If I was a man, I would marry her. Sad that they had her marry another albino. The recessive gene will become stronger. I have albino in my genes, but not strong. I also love red and auburn haired people. There was discrimination against red heads in Europe also. Dark skin people complain of discrimination, but are the most prejudice towards albinos. Look at Africa, it is pure hate for white skin. And they can have normal children. And are most of the albinos beautiful and above average IQ. There was a talk show host in the 1980s in USA that was albino. Very intelligent and decent man. I also have red heads in my ancestry as I have freckles. Black there also, Indian and Asian. But I am mostly Urian. I look more Indian than this girl in video. I am not saying she is not Indian, she came out looking totally white. As a black and white parents sometimes bring a totally white looking child. But black gene is dominant and most black white mixes bring a black looking child, even if the skin is white. Wavey or curly haired Indian are almost always mixes with Arab or Africans. I like Dutchess Fergie and she looks like her a little. She dis not come out looking Indian at all.

When I was in school there was another classmate who had even lighter skin and hair that was almost white. They didn't have any problems getting along with other kids, but had to be very careful about sun exposure -- and this was in the 80's when there was not so much concern about skin cancer as there is today. Surprised to hear that this woman was turned down for a job, because she seems very articulate and communicates with confidence. She certainly would be a good representative for a cosmetics firm because she is different and that is something that people will remember and helps build the brand identity.

Aw anytime I see someone with albinism it makes me smile. My grandpa was albino and legally blind. He was born into a poor Hispanic family in Northern New Mexico. His parents were farmers, who shunned him for being albino and blind, as they saw it as a disability. They sent him to a school for the blind which ended up saving his life, as he was welcomed by the community there. When he grew up, he became a teacher at the school. He was a carpenter who taught woodshop to legally blind and fully blind kids! He also taught people who recently became blind how to live and adapt to their new realities. Anyway, point being, people with albinism have a special place in my heart 💛

I used to have a senior at school who have albinism. He doesn't talk too much, rather he would prefer to stay isolated in the class. As a child I was really fascinated by him. At the first glance I thought he was a foreigner but turned out he's just a local person who is slightly different from us. A lot of people used to spread fake rumours about him, like if you play with him or you'll catch the disease and all sorts of other rumours. I believe he was a lucky guy that the teachers used to support him clearing the fake rumours and helping him in every aspect possible. Hope he's doing well 🙂

This. People find a thing to nitpick on every person. Race, gender, sexuality, religion, as if they are bestowed with the responsibility of passing the last judgement. But when they are dragged through the same muck where they have clogged up the esteems of others, they moan and complain about it being unfair. The only way to remove this would be to start teaching children about equality, not as a concept or theory, but as a natural phenomenon instead, something that should be more instinctual that learned through philosophy.

She looks so European! I think what's really cool about people like this is their ability to show us how closely related we actually are. We obsess over tiny differences we'd struggle to even notice in other animals. Aliens would probably struggle to tell Indians and Europeans apart. We're just hyper-focused on specific traits, and we've become hypersensitive to them. I think it's an opportunity to reflect on how we categorize ourselves, and whether the traits we tend to define ourselves and our groupings by are actually helping us, and whether they make sense.

Kimda like how malays are a part of austrauloids and some mongoloids, but new guineans are a mix of austrauloids, mongoloids and negroids. Down to their DNA but different the exterior. I used to have a classmate with albinism (We are Indians who lived in Kuwait). She was well-loved and happy with us. We obviously found her appearance odd at first (we all were 4 when we met) but the adults in our lives were very patient and helpful to make us understand that she wasn't different from us. We're 25 now and she's in a really good position.

A girl in my school too had albinism, she was much older than me - a senior so I never really interacted with her. And for a big chunk of my school life up until 6th or 7th we too thought that she was a foreigner. But as far as I can tell, she experienced a normal school life, atleast I hope so. And that's because I never saw anyone swarming around her as if she was lab rat.

@@rishuyadav4410 that's a complete different side to albinism in India. I agree that could be great to feel, but for how long? She has a condition even if it doesn't seem like it, she can't face direct sunlight she needs to cover up and their eyes are also very poor and more problems that happens and because it's a genetic disorder , you'll risk your kids facing the same issues growing up not how the society treats them but how their body restricts them . You don't have to treat them any differently. I have seen a junior struggling with vision issues, skin issues and maybe some bulling as a kid because kids are brutal and parents need to parent better in this country.

Her case is fascinating to me because she legit looks foreign, specifically caucasian unlike other people with albinism that you can easily determine has the condition (like her husband) , but then in the photos with her other friends/sisters you can see the resemblance is there, just more defined and darker, it just goes to show that skin color really is only skin deep, and yet it is still the biggest reason for discrimination.

Indians have European admixture through the Vedic Aryan invasion during the Bronze Age, Indians are skeletically caucasoid and thus some can have facial features similar to Europeans. Race is very real and affects so much more than just skin tone, you would never confuse an African or East Asian albino for an European.

@I Hate Haters I think they meant Indians are caucasoids/Caucasian. Caucasian doesn’t equate to a melanin count, it’s mostly about skull shape and such. Of course there are also Indian mongoloids with more East Asian features, but the majority are Caucasoids with similar bone structures to Middle Easterners and Europeans. White people are just one type of Caucasian/Caucasoid. There are tan and brown Caucasians and Caucasoids as well, which is the category that many in West, Central, and South Asia fall into.

In a way I can relate because I have Aspergers. I’m almost 30, and never been in a relationship before. Whether it be in my family or acquaintances or friends of family that I ask to think of me when they come across someone who is single, they say they will, but they never do get back to me. They always say they will help me out in finding people in the dating community who will respect me for my differences, but they never do. Every time I try on my own, I’m discriminated against like how Amanee was throughout her life. I’m even called “a creep” for trying. As far as those who say they’d help me out but never do, I wish I knew why; it’s like as if my own family, family acquaintances and friends, neither of them, are supportive of me in the dating community. I just recently asked my brother’s girlfriend is another woman was single. She said she’d get back to me, but she never did. All I know is my brother told me he and her won’t help me because I “threw in the wrench” or whatever. All my Dad says “It’s ok. He loves you. Just forgive him.” But that advice isn’t good enough. I just wish my family was as supportive of me like how they said they’d be, but they lie when they say they will be.
