For a first preseason game with a new line-up, only 4 days of practice and having to do press conferences after each one of them, which is just tiring in itself - they did a great job! Less pressure (impossible, I know), more patience and it's only up from here!

I'm here subscribed and watching and rooting for the Indiana Fever. Have never really watched WNBA. However, the excitement that CC has brought to the WNBA from college has made me a fan. Not just a fan of CC, but also a fan of the other WNBA players that I am still learning of. I literally watched this game over the NBA playoffs tonight. I'm in miami and watched this game on the WNBA website. What an amazing game it felt like a playoff game. If this is what the WNBA is like, I'm all in. You can't get too down on your first preseason game. It's just one game. From what I saw this team is on the right track to amazing things.

I think this game had more positive takeaways then negative. Caitlin only had 2 assists but there was 5 or 6 times she got the ball to open teammates for layups and they just missed, Which happens. I think Caitlin was just tired cause she really hasn't had a break from college till now but she will get used to it. Dallas was a playoff team last year and will be good this year as well and the fever were right there with them even leading at times. I think the team is heading in the right direction and if anything this game made me even more excited for the regular season. I see alot of wins for the fever in the future!

One thing for sure is that they are going to need time to get their chemistry and work on their cardio because don’t think they are used to playing at the fast pace that CC is used to playing at. Also they need their other top shooters in the game as well so that the other teams are not able to know that it’s just CC that is going to be shooting the long range shots and the rest are going to rush the basket which makes defense for them easy and leaves them to open to being shutdown especially when they go up against the top teams like the Aces and Liberty. Also they need to give CC the time she needs to also rest and layoff a bit on all this nonstop promo and media. I understand they need her to promote the league but if she isn’t given the time to properly rest she is going to end up burning out before the end of the season. She literally just had a nonstop college season that was high pressure that also included all the same promotion and media on top of finishing her college major to graduate then went straight into the draft, promo and marketing plus sponsorships that came with god knows how much long conversations and talks for deals that took long hours of negotiation plus commercials, more media tours and the like. This poor woman has been crisscrossing the country non stop for along with going to Europe last summer for literally two years now without a break. She is going to need time to just sit and relax without having the media in his life, going to basketball games to still have to promote the team or do social media on her so called days off. Even her college coach said at the end of the season that she needed rest and yet we haven’t seen her get any rest yet. So that is my only true worry and why if they do preform not to their full potential would be because they are not allowing for CC to rest and are demanding of her to give up so much of her time to promote the league and team.

“Caitlin works hard to get shots up - she doesn’t have to work that hard anymore”. Great to hear - more schemes needed to make her life better and to spread things around.

She’s used to getting beat-up thats not a problem, the problem is her team isn’t sprinting the court, her Iowa teammates sprinted every play. Plus refs didn’t call obvious foul at the end of game. Hacked her across both arms. Refs are going to treat her like a rookie.

I just look at her and feel so sad. Reading what people say it’s so unfair. All she ever does she give credit to everyone else - opponents, teammates and the greats of the game. She is so respectful and hardworking and I’ve never seen someone so undeserving be so hated. I’m thankful for the team around her, I hope they can protect her from hearing as much of that as they can. 22 years old, first game, she played GREAT. Some people are just heartless. And fans of Caitlin also love the other women. This team especially, but i have players I like or respect on all the teams.

Caitlin in foul trouble was new, but she can play her game in the pros and it still works! Great passing and lots of good scoring almost got the W it was a good game.

I made sure to be there for your first WNBA game and I will say that it was special for me to! You not only had your normal fans cheering for you, but a ton of the Wings fans were rooting for you to! You girls did amazing and I am an Indiana Fever for life!! I was talking with the Wings fans during the whole game and we all agreed it did not feel like b a preseason game! Come on coach the transition both ways was extremely slow, Clark had to hang around center court waiting for her team to get up the court which allowed the opposition to structure up to defend or attack. I really like Aliya but in this game, she played poorly, was outrebounded, and missed some very easy buckets, A lot of this was how the team congested the paint.

Things will balance out. Fever will get to know her,and she will know her team. In some respects it's an all new year.

The Bulls used to sit Michael Jordan down with five or more minutes left in the first half so he could rest through the half time break and be 'like Mike' for the start of the second half. I think Caitlin needs more breaks ... I thought she had a good game.

Boston wasn't in shape enough to play at that pace. She won't be able to execute at that pace until she's in top cardiovascular shape.

I think CC played good enough. She probably could have done more if it wasn't for foul trouble but I'm sure she won't let that happen next time. Her assists were low but that will go up in time as the team become more in sync. Let CC always play 1 so that she can get used to her teammates' game faster. Her APG are also not that high during her 1st year at Iowa but it will be better over time as they get more familiar with each other. Also, they should also give AB more touches because she scored way below her average this time. Shake it off, review the video, rest, train and then onto the next game.

Enjoyed The Game, Both Teams Played hard, But a few Points Here. Yes it was only Pre-Season, but Those Refs! Crappy calls, Did anyone else notice, ??? Every time Dallas got the ball they went down and scored, ok Good job Dallas, but then Refs would call a foul on the Fever players, even when clearly , just good defense. but then, contrary Bias, every time the fever went down to score, not only did they miss alot of shots, but they were pulled on smacked around, Hung onto, and grappled on, over and over by Dallas players and hardly no fouls were called on Dallas, could be why many Fever shots were off mark, Many of us here watching the game were not happy with that bias with the referees !Again, kudos to both teams and Dallas Making Fantastic Shots. Dallas Players were getting away with too Much, and they knew it, but hey, Honestly if Calls are going a Teams way, I cant Blame Dallas for that, My Real Issue is The Refs here. Even Coach sides said it, Many points could’ve been attributed to the Fevers score. And Caitlin hinted it in her comments, When she was describing adjustments to the opponents and the Physicality of the game, and said; but it doesn’t always get called. -So Referees, Respectfully Whether you call alot of Fouls or a little amount of Fouls in a Game, Could You Please Keep it Balanced unbiased and Equally Fair for Both Teams in a WNBA Game, This New WNBA ERA is Important to The Future League, and on a New Horizon, So Referees please get it together, Because once The Season Starts, it will be Comfort to know that a Game came down to Points Scored, Not How many Biased Calls were made on a Team.

Hustle . Need to have more speed . KM was missed. CC is amazing. Maybe she can be told to mentally relax. She is not the only member of the team…it is a group . This group will be fine. Maybe press should not be a part of preseason games. Let teams quietly have time to live and learn.

C'mon people all these calls for Clark to get some rest? She's 22 years old. She is the possible savior of the WNBA. The league is about to sign a nine figure TV deal. Game sites are being changed to get more butts in the seats, cause they are selling out everywhere she goes. Strike while the iron is hot. She's young and while at Iowa, experienced enough to handle this attention. It is my hope that the head coach is a quick study and can make adjustments on the fly. The offense they ran last year, with will be wasting CC's abilities. Peep out what the Warriors do to free up Curry, so he can get clean and easy looks. I know it's only one week of practice, but I didn't see a single set play, that gave CC a easy look.

Whenever Wheeler got the ball in transition, Wings players were like "ho hum". Whenever Clark got it there was either someone already in her face or there was one a second or two later. They really treated her as if she was by far and away the main threat of the Fever.

Fever are going to be a force. Give them a few games to Jell. I think they can make the playoffs. GO FEVER!!!

Honestly they should just run sets from Iowa and play at the same pace (fast!). Caitlin has already proven she runs that offense to perfection and now surrounded with better players they will be unstoppable.

Coach Sides is right. The team needs to know each other's capabilities. They need to pace themselves to ensure they are still standing during the last few minutes and seconds of a game. They need to know when someone is hot or cold during a game. They need to know what is going on in the game. These things cannot be coached. The players will need time to get to know one another, but the season is about to start. That is professional basketball.

Caitlyn is more mature and a better speaker than Swoops and she’s only 22.

if you keep doing the same thing you get the same results! outside of cc, who did make a big difference you are going with the same starting lineup you had last year which didn't win 50% of their games - i notices a couple of players open and clear in the lane but the old players wouldn't pass to them, like they were afraid someone was going to show them up if they passed them the ball - also the older players may have experience but they don't have good game IQ's - i'm new to the wnba but have been watching the fever to see cc - if you only use cc to plug a hole in the same old lineup i don't believe you are going to win
