Don't let this franchise die! Whether it's as an animted series, video games or comics, or maybe even another live action project (a Rocky/Creed sort of thing with Ke Huy Quan back as Short Round?), there is still life in Indiana Jones. We need such adventures.

One thing Lucasfilm deserves so much praise for is the practical affects. That is what makes their films look so good. That and how George pushed for new technology with ILM. Also the fact that Harrison is still doing his own stunts despite his old age shows his commitment.

I still enjoyed this movie and thought it to be a good conclusion for Harrison's Indiana Jones character. I think it's time to retire the character though but I'm glad we got one more romp. It's mindless popcorn fun and escapism. Just enjoy the ride.

It was my least favourite one but I still liked it. I just hope this isn't the end of the franchise and we get more stuff like books, comics, games, animated series, toys, etc.

I'm pretty sure it's the end of the trilogy, but the franchise itself I would think would still continue because if you think about it that whole summer we got so much stuff with merchandise and everything. So I'm thinking Lucasfilm and Disney will just make more stuff because of how people really appreciate Indiana Jones, especially the huge fan base

"Indiana Jones & Please Dial the Nursing Home!" [Please do not waste your money on this BOMB] CGI cannot time travel. Being a HUGE Indy fan, I had hoped against hope nothing could be worse than Indy's last movie about aliens in South America. How mistaken was I! I beg the producers please STOP trying to retrieve tha magic that was Indy 30 yrs ago. This movie is a dead pan loser. MILLIONS of dollars flushed down the cinema toilet. Let me state the very obvious: Harrison Ford today cannot, I repeat cannot be the younger Indiana Jones!!! CGI cannot solve this problem. This whole flick looked like a 'desperate money grab.' Spielberg would NEVER have made this!!!
@nashpreds995 ай бұрын
They made Indy into an uninspiring grumpy old man who had to be saved instead of being the adventuring heroic professor that his students loved. I know they had to address his age but they didn’t have to make Indy so miserable. I love James Mangold and Harrison Ford but this movie just wasn’t it for me.
@markgroglio99225 ай бұрын
The whole point of the movie was age and time. 1969 was very different than 1930s. It was less looking into the past and more looking into the future with the moon landing. It was to contrast our hero from his prime to deal with his age.
@nashpreds995 ай бұрын
@@markgroglio9922 I get that but I don’t think that is what most people wanted from an Indiana Jones adventure.
@olivaresolivar46795 ай бұрын
@@nashpreds99it makes sense from a narrative point of view and it’s good storytelling. You can’t pretended that things are still the same in a different era. While dealing with that, Mangold gave us a great opening in his prime, and proceeded to send Indy in the past. The circle is complete since Indy has not only dealt with history but actually got to witness it and meet Archimedes himself while then making amends with his wife in the comfort of his home. I loved it

This movie depicted more of Disney's pro feminist and anti man narrative. Throughout the movie there is a female that does everything better than him even though it's supposed to be about Indiana Jones because it has his name in the title. Indiana Jones should be the only main star and the only main hero in films only about him. Women have their own female action hero movies. If you're going to continue a franchise then stay on topic of the tradition of the franxhise.

@@HenryLouis21 All I saw was the same old washed up old legacy character being upstaged, disrespected, wanting to die alone and getting punished trope which was stretched out for two hours. Say what you want about the crystal skull, but at least Indy was still his good old self. And he didn't want to give up on everything and die. The film is boring and the MacGuffin is just a glorified compass. All it does is take you to one place and that's it.
@dboygamer81845 ай бұрын
@@HenryLouis21 how was the box office???
@HenryLouis215 ай бұрын
@@Lucasfan375 In what way was this character disrespected or upstaged? Also, god forbid that this character goes through struggles even at an old age and you know changes instead of staying stagnant for years and not changing with time going by. Nor was he getting punished. You people are so insensitive when a male character does not stay stagnant not have struggles or changes or face new challenges. Also, he never gave up anything and "wanted to die," he was more content with living the life he had as a history teacher teaching a new generation about history, a new generation who is more worried about looking to the future while Indy is still stuck in the past. And that compass was literally a magical device that allowed him to travel through time.
