About myself, I played basketball from the age of 13 until my mid 40s. I coached boys and girls youth basketball teams and coached a men's team. Facts - 1. CC is Indiana's best player! 2. The team as a whole, including the coach, is not that good. Caitlin has to go through a learning and improvement stage but she is not the only one. What happens to Indiana during the remainder of this season depends primarily on the coach. 1. Think about what you say to the press if you want to keep the player's morale up. 2. The Bigs on the team need more individual guidance on ball handling, faking moves around the basket, more conditioning and Boxing Out which goes for all players. 3. Build the offense around Caitlin!

Jealousy will ruin you all. The Liberty, her own teammates, and the referees did all they could to ensure Clark fails. Once she’s gone, your league will go right back to being an afterthought. 🤦‍♂️

50% of these highlights were missed shots(I counted 5 air balls) and something like 10! shot clock violations. And 70% of the commentary was the message “the wnba is chock-block full of talent.” This is a joke.

Adjustment for CC went from running and gunnin at Iowa to standing around and watching paint dry. Got to be frustrating. Their offense is super slow and methodical

Scouting report on Clark. When going left she’s looking to shoot trying create space with the step back or use a top side high pick. When going right she’s looking to drive or pass. No midrange game. Do not leave open shots a high percentage when left open. Has range. Liability on defense cannot defend pick and roll or pick and pop. Excellent free throw shooter. Prone to turnovers if played physical or picked up full court. Struggles with quick guard or big guard who can move there feet. After the 1st 2 game the league is ready for her. I think she’ll do fine by mid season.

Team is weak on fundermentals. Ladies need to jump. To flat foot under the rim to score

She played good and defended. She also had great assist and could’ve had way more had her team shot better. She’s going out there and playing her post. They got killed in the paint and on offensive rebounds. You have to watch the entire game not just highlights

I think everyone underestimated what a great TEAM Iowa were. Yes, Clarke stood out but seeing her here just proves, you need greatness around you to also look great. I think that Iowa college team could have beaten most in the WNBA. The speed they played, the great defence, it is like they had telepathy between them. Fever have not had a good track record and it shows.

Clark needs help if she is going to turn Indiana around.

The Fever missed 13 shots at the rim & froze Clark out of 16 plays. The team never runs transition to the passing lanes and has no perimeter passing game to open up the floor. No pick-and-roll schemes, no movement to the ball for open looks when Clark is doubled.

I’ve never seen so many shot clock violations in one game, INDY gotta switch their offense that’s terrible.

CC had really bad shooting night, but still made 8 rebounds and 6 assistances....she will have to do a lot of learning in this season, but what will make it harder is that Fever is not good team...it is much easier to play when you are surrounded by great talent....Fever will have to improve and get some more quality players...this game was really big quality difference between these two teams...Liberty is much much better team with veterans like Ionescu, Stewart, Jones....still 36 points is too much to lose at home court....Fever will struggle this season...CC is not enough to carry this weak team

These women are letting their pride get in the way of actually making this league relevant. The only hope the WNBA has of being an actual league that can turn a profit is to capitalize on the popularity of CC. They are picking up a rookie full court, Roughing her up every time she touches the ball and doubling her a majority of the time. People are tuning in now because they want to see her go off offensively. If i was the league i would have a meeting with my refs and say anytime someone gets very physical with her on defense it's a foul. These sold out games and great television ratings will evaporite just as quickly as they came and the WNBA will go back to the obscurity they have been mired in for decades. If they don't realize this and act accordingly.

The problem is the dufus coach doesnt understand what her job is. Her job is not to push defensive or offensive schemes on the team or obsess over wins and losses. Right now at the start of this unique season her job is to SHOWCASE CAITLIN CLARK!. Boost her as much as possible and get the other players on board. At least for the first half of season. Indy management had better insist this happens.

We all knew there’d be a a steep learning curve but,the overall team looks massively unsized and lethargic running the floor and on defensively. Taking CC away, this team is still isn’t very sound offensively or defensively. Some of this might be coaching as well.

This team second guesses all there shots. They don't follow up on misses. This is not a Clark loss, it's a team loss. Even if she made all 8 shots, the team would have loss. The coach has lost it two games in.

if you watch the defense on Clark, the other teams are holding, pushing, fouling and double and triple teaming her (with NO calls by the Refs)...EVERYONE knows the REFS SUCK!!! in college and Pro...for some stupid reason fouling now seems to equate to "playing hard" ... in time her team will get better, start figuring out each others strengths and weaknesses...and Caitlin will get used to the speed and excessive fouling and her shot will start dropping...she's a shooter.

Caitlyn is drawing the best defense from the opposing team. Her coach needs to do more to get her opportunities. Her teammates also have to finish in order to take the defensive pressure off of her. She'll be fine in time, just has to adjust to this professional level.

The thing with Clark is it’s going to be very hard for her because in college 90% of the time she had the ball and was playing 40mins a night and was scoring and assisting on 70% of the plays BUT now she has to play off ball and getting clamped up by great defenders so it’s not looking good
