It’s not true for many of us Americans. Some of us are a little more enlightened. But it is true of our society in general. It feels very soulless at times! I don’t think it’s just true of America, it is everywhere in the world. He spoke Truth here.

I've caught up to your George Carlin reactionary series. You guys have been great understanding how George can poke fun at such sensitive things and make us laugh without insulting. George Carlin and Bill Burr are astounding at sharing the insults we deserve while we laugh at ourselves as we observe from the POV we need to see from more often.😊

That's a rare sight - someone confident enough to say in the middle of George's rant: "Wow, we do the same thing!" The old man had his way with words, and was able to paint normal things as dumb and dumb things as normal without resorting to direct lies.

Politicians are, politicians. It doesn't matter what country it is & it doesn't matter what period in time. He could just as well have been talking about the Senate in the ancient Roman empire. Politicians are, politicians. & There's more - George Carlin also explains 'why' politicians act the way they do, but you might not like the reason why...

He was not afraid to tell people the truth in a funny way Americans eat so much food because their free to eat foods brought from all over the world indian, Lebanese, Chinese, japanese, Italian. The UK is the fattest country in Europe. My girlfriend is Malaysian and her mum is a feeder. Every Saturday at her mums I would have to walk around with my head tipped back to stop it spilling over the sides. I put on 2.5 stone. I had to learn to say no and I lost the weight. Asian food is my favourite but my British metabolism can't cope. Much love to you ladies. ✌❤🇬🇧

Not every American is massively overweight...but sadly a LOT of us are. Nearly 40% of Americans are obese. And food in the U. S. is cheap, abundant and unhealthy. Americans are infamous for overworking and leaving less time for exercise and proper diet. So, we quickly fall into the habit of eating a lot of processed and fast food. Just a little is bad enough but when it becomes the template for your regular eating habits (and the eating habits of your children) you've got a health issue. No cardiologist in the U.S. is going broke.

The more insidious part of the food problem is that the unhealthy, over processed food, the *BAD* food is SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER than healthy food, for example, many of the fast food places are running specials on their apps where you can get one of their premium sandwiches for under $3, Wendy’s is selling their ‘Single’ burger for $1 this month, (590 calories, 37 grams of fat, 1030 Mg sodium…) the few times I order it, I cheat, I drop the mayo, the cheese, add more lettuce and tomato, and add mustard, which drops it to 460/24/600, still far too high, but better than the default Healthy food? Easily triple the price of the fast food garbage.

What George Carlin was preaching in this comedy show, unfortunately, is brutally the truth. Not so much today as shopping malls are being phased out. However, the average American mentality today remains the same.

George was a big part of my childhood. He’s a very smart guy! If you haven’t you should check out Louis CK, he’s definitely not an intellectually comic as Carlin but is much funnier Cheers🙏 I so wish we had an Indian restaurant close to our area, we have to drive 1 hour for an ok one and 2.5 hours for a great restaurant

There are those people that he's talking about, but there are plenty of people here that are also NOT like that here. So, I think his take (while true for some) is an overly simplistic, and overly cynical view point lumping everyone into the same group.

He is a joker telling you funny jokes. Are you going to form your opinion about a country based on TV, movie or a joker?? Nobody here owns anyone. Otherwise there would be no Elon Musk, Microsoft, Meta and many more. These firms were started by smart individuals. He just wants business and that is his job. If this character has all the solutions then why doesn’t he run for President and fix everything.
