the whole AMCA is a total waste of money. The reasons are many. the most important one is it has no powerful engine for a 5th gen fighter, all 5 th gen fighters in the world have engines with max power more than 150 kn. The mk1 of AMCA uses GE 414, max power only 95 kn. even with next one, believed to be from France, not come out yet, the max power will be only 120 kn, this will be even less than what Indians laughed AL 31 for J20 when it first come out, AL 31 with max power 131 kn, now J20 uses WS 15 with max power of 180 kn. F22, with an engine of 153 kn, and F 35 uses an engine with max power 190 kn. without it , AMCA cannot do super sonic cruises. others like in stealthy design, radar absorbing coating, radar, missile, sensors, ..................India has none of them, but need to import. it will have total no match to J 35 which China will export to Pakistan, no need to mention J20 which China has over 200 now, when AMCA comes out, China will have 6 th gen fighter ready to take AMCA out of the sky.
