Central Vista Curtain Raiser: Unveiling Democracy's New Face | Hardeep Singh Puri & Bimal Patel

2 жыл бұрынNoting that the existing Parliament building is "unsafe", Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday asserted that construction of the new one and redevelopment of the Central Vista Avenue, stretching from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, will be completed in a time-bound manner.
Both these projects are being executed as part of the Modi government's ambitious Central Vista redevelopment plan.
Speaking at the India Today Conclave 2021, Puri said that the existing building, which doesn't have the capacity to accommodate more parliamentarians, was never designed to be Parliament and it was a council house of a colonial power.
"The number of members (parliamentarians) has been increasing since we became an Independent country. So, there have been a lot of internal adjustments and new facilities have been added...from a purely structural point of view, it is an unsafe building.

I dont know why this Central Vista project is irking so much in the eye of lutyens media? Maharashtra Govt. is building luxuries homes for their MPs so does Rajasthan state I think... so why didnt they discuss that in their conclave? Why dont they discuss the PNC bank scam in Maharashtra and other scams done in Congress Govt? Even SC gave permission to Central Vista project since this lutyens media and their boss Mr. Puri plus Sonia Gandhi are not able to sleep properly that they have to even bring it here!

@@balbhadra07 Look at the way export rising and investment inflow... Its gonna result in job growth... But just in IT field, scarcity of "skilled" manpower is what industry people are saying... Just finishing some degree and demanding job as if it is entitlement is not gonna work in this world now... Keep updating and skilling oneself is the only way(i myself aim at atleast 2 certificates a year even 12 yrs after graduation n being in service sector) .. New education policy is in right direction.. People should break out of status quo and opposing for the sake of it just because policies are of bjp govt.

CENTRAL VISTA is a collection of buildings from India gate to rashtrapati bhawan. Don't get mislead by only the parliament House. What the coward aaj tak is not asking and therefore the minister is not saying is that the cost being quoted of 22k crores is for multiple buildings and so the minister is hiding behind saying repeatedly only about parliament building. What is the warrant for building a nee pm residence ? मतलब ये जहां भी जाते है उनको नई जगह चाहिए। जब गुजरात में मुख्यमंत्री तब भी गांधीनगर में नई बिल्डिंग बनवाई थी।

it is CM residence not Modi residence?? any one who will become CM of Gujarat will reside there. the way you said it as if the whole property bought in the name of Modi. again it's PM residence not Modi residence. He is modi not neheru or gandhi. where neheru used to live as PM of India now that has became Neheru Museum then after that where Indira Gandhi used to live as PM now that is Indira Gandhi Museum, where Rajeev Gandhi used to live as PM now Sonia and Rahul lives there as if it is Rajeev Gandhi's inherited ancestral property. But this time it is being made for successive PMs of India not for Modi. Like we have permanent residence for the President now we are going to have permanent residence one for the PM and another one for the Vice President. And the minister clearly said at the very beginning Central Vista has 3 components, one is Central Vista Avenue or Rajpath, second one is new Parliament building and third one is the series of buildings from new Secretariat Buildings to buildings for other 54-55 ministries of Union Government of India.

@@anonymouslyopinionated656 Democracy existed long ago.... but it didn’t continue in any where in India for last 2000 years, we only had kings , Kingdoms and emperors , the present form of continuous democracy exists only for last 71 years and the present form democracy exists for 232 years in USA without any breaks.

a temple is not exclusive to the hindu faith. It is a word in the english language, which refers to a place of worship. A church is a temple for christians, a mosque is a temple for the Islamic faith and same is the case for all other faiths.
