Tangerang is a bustling city in the Banten province of Java with amazing street food everywhere and of course, amazing local people. Kerak Telor is a traditional culinary from Betawi,a perfectly mixture ingredients of white dried sticky rice,perfectly fried onion,dried small salted shrimp,dried coconut sprinkling,chicken or duck Egg (Prefered Duck Egg for more savory taste)...it is so delicious.Thank you for coming to Pasar Lama...Bravo Luke and Naomi...Bravo Indonesia

I love how you try to integrate Indonesian language whenever you can. "Please" has two meanings. You use "silahkan" when you provide a service. But when you're yhe receiver you can say "tolong". "Tolong martabaknya dua ya, mas. Terimakasih." That "banged" on the vendor's cart is a variation of "banget" which is more commonly used. It means "very". So "ENAK BANGED/BANGET" means very tasty. I hope this helps. Love the long foodie videos. Keep it up you guys. ❤️

You know, you really need to try adding the word "ya" behind more Indonesian words. It's originally short version of "iya" or "yes" in Indonesian, but it's somehow multipurpose. You can use it to substitute "isn't it?", "right" or "okay" too. In fact, it's one of the habbit that many bule picked up while they're living here. Some examples: - For statements: "It's hot, isn't it?" - > "Panas, ya?" - For requests: "Don't forget to subscribe, okay" - > "Jangan lupa subscribe, ya" - For orders: "One black coffee, please" - > "Kopi hitam/kopi tubruk satu, ya" - For confirmations : "It's 5.000 (rupiah), right?" - > "Ini lima ribu, ya?" And many more. Some bule even start to mix it, like using English with "ya" at the end. Such as "It's hot, ya" Try it, and observe some locals when speaking. You will find that they use it quite often. Keep healthy and cheers. 😁
