Wow! I have seen where reapers can be finicky in producing. You must be doing something right to have so many pods. Looks like one of my grows, where I ended up getting a hand vacuum to clean up leaf debris. So what's next? Are you planning any testing with a different plant, or making any modifications to your home automation setup?

Beautiful man - I'm using the HLG 550 V2 R spec, and have just struggled to get the flowers to stay on. Not sure if it's the light (no signs of burning), or the flowers aren't pollinating (I've got 4 oscillating fans in the grow). Using the GH Flora series DTW, week 8-9. Plant is only 3 months old, but loaded with flowers that keep dropping. Temp and humidity are always within acceptable VPD zones.
@LEDGardener4 жыл бұрын
Mine always drop for the first bit. Just keep shaking it and they will stick within the next few weeks.

@@LEDGardener thanks. I've checked our your website after following through from KZfaq and will hit up your forum :) Love that your growing vegetables using all this tech, it's why I instantly subscribed, NO ONE else is doing this! Everyone's growing cannabis so always hard to see how this tech can improve (or even work) with other plants. I just grabbed an MQ-500 to see what's happening under the HLG lights. I've read I should be around 600 PPFD so will be really cool to finally know what's going on underneath. The deep red 660nm also got me worried in terms of how it would impact peppers.

General Hydroponics flora trio and Cali magic. Following the ratios on the bottle for the most part with less “grow” towards the end than recommended.

Hey! Thank for the awesome videos on your garden. I've been very much interested in starting one of your magic boxes, but I have some questions about wiring. Do you have a more detailed/ written guide on setting all of this up? I've set up quiet an extensive Home Assistant already and am fairly confident about my software abilities. But the hardware... Any notes at all you could share beyond the ones you've shared already would be a godsend. I'm willing to sort and read through most anything, I just keep hitting walls. For instance, I've not been able to figure out how to get the Mega board to transmit via wifi. I believe you said you had it outputting info through the GPIO pins to an esp32, is that correct? Or does the board have wifi already? Those atlas sensors cost a fortune, but if it removes the "me" error of the equation, I'll pay it
@LEDGardener4 жыл бұрын
Hey Conner, I don’t yet have any drawings for the system but I’m happy to answer any questions you might have. I’m sending data over the serial port of the Mega into an ESP32 which then transmita the info over wifi using a protocol called MQTT which I’m sure you’re familiar with if you use HA.
@ConnerHall4 жыл бұрын
@@LEDGardener That's perfect and exactly what I needed to know, thank you! I'm assuming you use something like esp home on the esp32? Or do you have another software / system you perfer to flash with?
@LEDGardener4 жыл бұрын
This particular ESP is running some ugly code I wrote to handle all the functions I need it to perform.
@ConnerHall4 жыл бұрын
@@LEDGardener Hmmmm okay. I may need to see some of that ugly code later just to have something to reference. I was going to invest in the hardware, but without knowing if I can get past the software barrier... I have a hard time throwing my eggs into one basket. I have an arduino uno, maybe I'll just get the tentacle shield and see if I can tool around. The sensors are MEGA expensive for my price range, but quality! Peppers looks B-E-A Utiful. Looking forward to more updates! Also, happy fathers day to you or anyone in your family

How many reaper pods did you harvest all said and done? And how many seeds on average per pod did you get.
@LEDGardener3 жыл бұрын
I got 500+ peppers from it. 300 in the initial harvest and then and another couple hundred as they continued to ripen. I scraped a pretty good haul of seeds from it but I'm not sure how many per pod.

Hello, I live in SC and have local access to these seeds and grew some out doors. They did really well, but I wanted to grow one indoors hydroponics. I have everything on the way, but what has me stumped is what fertilizer I should be putting into the water, I have a 3 type fertilizer on the way now. I have Fox Farms - big bloom, grow big and, tiger bloom on the way now. If you don’t mind telling me what you used that would be great! Maybe you can give me a discord or some contact and give me tips on what to do and expect thanks! Happy growing!
