2 жыл бұрын#Scottish #salmon is sold all over the world, but the #fish come from breeding farms with methods that are condemned by environmental groups. The intensive farming of salmon, in large pens where there are too many fish, leads to them dying before they reach adulthood, mainly because of a flesh-eating parasite: #sea lice. There are fears that the sea lice are now spreading far beyond the farms, contaminating wild salmon in rivers. Our France 3 colleagues report, with FRANCE 24's Olivia Bizot.

For over 100 years, five generations of my family netted wild salmon around the coast of Scotland. We don't eat what are are now described as salmon.

Profits at the misery of animals and plants is unexceptionable... western country's must stop buying the products that are produced by intensive farming....as for the rest of the world....stop over populating and there will be enough food for all !!!.🤔🇳🇿

Most Salmon comes from Norway and Chile, Scottish Salmon is quite rare globally, it is hard to find in countries such as Korea and Japan.

Scottish farmed salmon is the same nasty industry though. Here in NW Scotland we are surrounded by huge Norwegian owned farms 👍

@@ronaldowaldo4267 I don’t eat salmon Ronaldo but if I did it’d have to be wild caught. More expensive no doubt, but the idea of eating farmed salmon genuinely makes me feel sick.
