Aurora writes her own lyrics, yes. She started as very young, learning to play the piano, and writing lyrics. She’s the only musician in her family. Her sisters are working for her, with make-up and with designing clothes (maybe also more assitance in Aurora’s career.) Here’s more background on her: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_(singer)

Aurora did not like to sing in front of anybody..... She basicly had not sung in front of "a crowd" before she sang at her 10th graduation. She wanted to give her parents a song for xmas. A friend gave her 2-3 hours in a lokal studio as a gift, so she went in studio and recorded "puppet" when she was 16. Somebody had posted the film from the graduation on Facebook, and when the song hit the Internett rumers got to Made Management. They lisened and approched her, she answered that she did not want to be an artist. Her mother told her that her music felt so good to her, so she accually said that it would be kind of selfish to not share it, and maybe she could try it...... 2 weeks after puppet was put online, she was signed..... Aurora often sings about things that has inpacted her. Things she has heard, read, seen or happened. Often her lyrics is not about herself. River was written after she read that 70% of suiside are men..... She thought it was horrible, and maybe it can help if we could let our emotions out.... To prosess her fealings she wrote about it..... (all written by memory, please correct me if I have remembered wrong 🙂)

Aurora wrote this song during the blood moon in 2015 (When she was 19). The song is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radios and all the distractions around us! Really enjoyed your reaction to our Fairy Angel Princess Aurora!!!😇😇

Aurora is a singer, songwriter, composer and plays piano since she was 6 years old with 9 the lyrics on english. Later came still producer also.

I think all her videos are great, and some of them are rightfully called masterpieces. The Seed and Winter Bird I would put in the masterpiece section. To really know her you need to see all her videos and loads of masterful live performances. The full package!!

As others have said, she writes most of the lyrics and music for her tracks. There are some collaborators, but it is mainly Aurora. It's worth adding that she is directly involved in 80-90% of the recording and video production. This girl knows what art she wants to produce, and does all she can to ensure it is done properly. As you say, she's the complete package, and I personally don't think there is anyone to match her at this time.

Love this artist and your reactions to her music. She has a way of penetrating the core of a person and mucking with our emotions while stimulating our intellects at the same time. Truly one of a kind. I've heard you state that you are a song writer and I was wanting to point out her beautiful omission in the pre-chorus verse that ends with 'the hunter's moon is shining" leaving the word 'bright' implied. Pure genius !! Keep up the wonderful work.

Not the song i would pick for watching the video instead of a live performance personally, but i think that is because i don't like the quick-cutting in the video. Personally the two songs where i enjoy the video as much as live, though for different reasons are "The Seed" and "Winter Bird".

At some point you will react to AURORA - Lucky (Live at Nidarosdomen). If you want to hear what a song written by a 9 year old, sung in a cathedral with harps and choir bathed in beautiful lighting then check it out. Just so you know, you will be reacting to the entire concert. It is the way of the Warriors and Weirdos.

In this song she wrote she's struggling with being stuck to the community. She will be free to running selfindependent with the wolfs. And cut loose the wires who helds her back before they catches her.

Yes, she writes the lyrics and the music - also has a huge say in the arrangement and production. She is also a painter and a dancer as well as musician, singer/songwriter - complete package indeed! I agree that she is better live, but most of her videos are mini-masterpieces and well worth watching. I would recommend Winter Bird since it is my favorite, but The Seed, The River, Queendom, Daydreamer and I Went too Far are also excellent. You have quite a lovely journey ahead of you. Enjoy!

My favorite artist is Kate Bush, I think she is the ultimate. I love Aurora as well, she feels very similar - just the whole package. Both with incredibly unique voices, movement and drama in their performance, incredible lyrics and meaning, and both very young artists. Writing around 10-11 or somesuch.

She actually writes. Her own songs. and some of these song are written by her when she is 11-12 years old.. And this is not even her first language she is Norwegian from Bergen. She lived or still lives only about an hour from where i live now.. Love this song. This is the first song i heard from aurora..

Yes you got the right video. With Aurora it is mostly live but in this case the video. With the song The Seed it gets a bit complicated. You need to react to the music video and due to the fact she changes the arrangement in a variety of live performances they sound and feel different so even you don’t react to them check them out. Maybe do a Seed special. You have a version that is a call to arms, another pleading, another hopeful. All with a very important message. Also don't forget the version she did on Earth Day. She writes her own music and started very young. She does co-write at times.

Please do a reaction for (or even just listen to) "Why Did You Have to Go" / "Why Did You Have to Go A Place" - It was a song she wrote exclusively for her friend who passed away in a car accident. It's so deeply touching and moving, and I hope you cry tears of catharsis :')

This song is fantastic with all it's symbols but, as you say, the video is also a masterpiece. Quite sure the ideas about how to realize the symbolism into a movie is Auroras own and you picked up many of the the symbols for sure. But there is one more that I really think carries the message: The approaching, threatening car has a driver that cannot see where he is driving, because the windshield is totally smeared. That is how we run this world, isn't it? And the final scene really is an open end isn't it? Your interpretation is for sure a valid one. But there are more, aren't there?

At one point you said that Aurora should be in Hollywood.. That's not Aurora. She is unlike anybody in any traditional and even crazy self. Plastic City would ruin her. She needs to be in her element so that she can stay who she is and be happy. I know in one of the versions of "The Seed" She was standing a forest and she said that she spent a lot of time in the forest. She said something to the effect that It doesn't expect anything from you...you could just "be"..... There is no other Aurora and she is way too good to ever lower herself to go to Hollywood. One of her more lighthearted video's and song is "Queendom"..... If you ever find the time, it is fun and I think that you would really enjoy it.
