9:33 As a beatboxer myself with a lot of experience, i say - yeah, man, that's how it's done. They prepare at least 6 rounds + elimination for this competition. And a guy like Brez, for example, had a round in his mind for EVERY opponent that he thought he was going to face in the battles.

First. Sxin forgot to record his drop in his first round and was kinda happy he lost over all because he didn’t have more rounds ready as he put all effort into onii Chan with chezame. Edit: frosties second round is pure insanity and what the mk2 can do effortlessly like brez mentioned. Yes they all have 10+ rounds ready if not more

I can guarantee you that they don't have 10+ rounds practiced for gbb. A couple of them barely have elims prepared, much less new battle rounds. They may all have 10+rounds that they've either done in the past or rounds they made for this specific gbb, but if loopers come to win they make 7 of the best rounds they can, rather then more rounds, because it's so time consuming that the more rounds they make, the lesser their quality will be. Look at KBA for example, he barely had time to prepare a elim and since it was new there were many issues and he didn't get into the top 8 because of it. The champ of this competition only had 7 round presets in his loop station, meaning aside for any possible freestyling, he only could do 7 rounds.

@@zachmoser4897 well if you actually watch all the beatboxers individually you’d hear them talk about having that many rounds prepared 😂 they need at least 8 rounds but real pros prepare counter rounds

Frosty was better for this battle, but Sxin gave the better atmosphere, so props to both.

Sxin's rounds had some crazy atmosphere, and if he didn't mess up the drop, he might've squeaked out a win, just from how crazy his second round was. It was probably for the better, though, because Sxin only had 2 rounds fully prepared, so he gave the win to Frosty. If you have time, could you still check out the Tag Team Loopstations? I feel that Sorry's elim is too good to miss

You’re exactly right, they have multiple routines that they practice so they can interchange them when the time is right. If they know who they are battling ahead of time (like sxin and chezame’s bbu) they can add lots of good counters to make the battle a whole lot better.

Frosty murdered that 2nd round with the "throw him off the rooftop" drop. That was nasty. He also could've stopped when he still had a minute left on the clock and dropped the fuckin mic.

And sxin also choose to go first, as he didnt expect to win so he would let frosty chose which tracks he wanted to use, so he could save some rounds for the semi final and final, so really sportmanship from sxin also, he could easily have made frosty end up using one of his better rounds if he thought it was needed for the victory, but sxin only wanted to show his music and enjoy himself infront of a gbb crowd 😍

If you want a smaller battle with some HUGE drops, check out "KAOS VS ANTRIX | Loop 1/2 Final | East German Beatbox Championship 2022". The event is on a way smaller scale than the GBB, however i feel like you might enjoy the music itself a lot. The drops are HEAVY.

Just to touch on a few of your points. You were right the loopers pick the routine that would best counter their opponents style or their opponents round in the battle. And yeah Sxin was more there just to show off his music not really to win, but frosty brought the battle energy.

Sxin has great rounds but I feel like his stage presence is weak. I know that sounds harsh but that is just the vibe I get the way he looks so shy and keeps his head down. His rounds would have way more impact on the crowd if he had a little more confidence on stage (or even pretend to have more confidence. Fake it til you make it)

Yeah, the loopers that passed elims are all big names, they have a huge number of past battles and unreleased tracks. But they're not gonna come with them all prepared for this one GBB lmao, Brez might've been the only one with nearly that amount.

Sxin thinks his bass was recorded so he goes into the drop and realize that he didn't record it so he record and do the drop at the same time

Oddly, I'd say Frosty destroyed him on the first round... that's the one where Sxin made his mistakes. The second round of Sxin was possibly the best in the battle.
