I think I’m going to do this, I won’t cut the middle out, I think I’ll leave it as a table calendar with a small Christmas tree forest in the middle.

I'm thinking I'll put a greeting in the middle. And I have so much Christmas paper I may just make each box out of a different design, duplicating some if necessary. And for the circle, I just might use a cereal box ... maybe 2 and glue them together for stability.

This is a great project to make for someone in a old folks home. They would love to open a little box each day and be surprised. Give them something to look forward to each day, change their daily thinking perhaps, better than just a single card. You could even type up a little text sheet to fit and type it in LARGE LETTERS for them to read an inspiring thought for them.

This advent calendar is really cool Ann, such a great idea and I love the simplicity of how it is made! And it is so beautiful to boot. Could the boxes possibly be held with Velcro-dots. So you could actually remove the box fill it with goodies and reattach it?

Really like this wreath style. I think I would still stick with the 24 days of an advent calendar though. I think your measurements would work either way. Great job as always. Love when kitty drops by when you are filming. ❤️🐱
