I have become addicted to watching-listening to content about this case. This has so much more information than other videos. Fascinating. If this took place nowadays, I really think things might have been very different. For one, they would not have talked AT ALL to the police without counsel. And they would have had separate counsel entirely.

0:22 - "Chicago in the 1920's wasn't the safest place in America." Hell, Chicago in the 2020's isn't the safest place in America. Not much has changed in that respect.

Chicago doesn’t even crack the top 15 & isn’t even the most dangerous city in the state but yeah let’s keep up that false narrative, that’s what people like you are good at.

@@kenyattaclay7666 - I stated the obvious: Chicago is NOT the safest city. But if you want to be delusional go right ahead. Let's pretend that Mayor Lightfoot wasn't begging for help to stop gang violence.

@@jvinson What you stated was nothing but a political dog whistle but if you want to be the one who is delusional and not look at the facts then go ahead. Like I said, Chicago isn't even the most dangerous city in the state let alone in the country & not even close to being in the top 10. Also, 90% of the crime is in only 3 or 4 neighborhoods in a city that has 77. These are verifiable facts that can be looked up but then again people like you only believe in alt facts anyway.

Wow I am in love with this channel. It's definitely a hidden gem. I've listened to the end of this story and I think Richard was the evil one. I'm not excusing Nathan but I feel like he was so in love with Richard that he would have done anything to be with him. To be that in love at such an early age was more than his mind could handle. Once he went to prison he seemed to be the model prisoner.

I felt that way too until I saw this particular video. It added something I had never heard before- that Leopold wanted the victim to be a girl so he could rape her before killing her. It was Loeb who said no to that.

Leopold was scheduled to take a vacation a few weeks after the kidnapping. if only he had departed earlier. It is likely if the two men had never met, the crime would not have occurred. Each fed off the other's negative character traits. If men of such intelligence had turned their gifts to doing good instead of evil, who knows what they could have accomplished?@@willieqwert

The duo wrote their random note before they had even selected a victim. Had Nathan merely parked his car in a parking lot the chauffeur would have been able to blow their alibi. The eyeglasses were a huge clue, but Leoplod might have been able to bluff his way out of the questioning. For a "perfect crime", this one was not very clever.

And the victim in this case has been overlooked negotiations years they took away his life who knows what he would have achieved and leppoild said it did not matter his life was not relative he was the moster

I fell sooty for all the fathers who all had early deaths two who could not live with the fact that their sons were killers and a man who was robbed of his son and baby Bobby franks

I disagree leo. Just had the police like him better after he was let out of prison he still said he did not regret killing the franks boy and he had terrible haughty. Eyes evil eyes and the fail every time to mention that witness said it was not lol be driving but leo
