My grandfather was on the police force in Wellsville OH in 1934. Personally guarded Adam Richtee in his cell during this time and was on the posses looking for pretty boy

Charles Arthur "Pretty Boy" Floyd's funeral was attended by between 20,000 and 40,000 people and remains the largest funeral in Oklahoma history. He was buried in Akins, Oklahoma. On the first anniversary of Floyd's death, his girlfriend, Beulah Baird, her sister Rose, and Adam Richetti bought ad space in the Kansas City Star to offer a poem. We never knew what pain he had, We did not see him die, We only knew he passed away, And did not say good-by, We are thinking of you Daddy dear, Thinking of the past. You left behind some broken hearts That loved you to the last; That never did, nor never will Forget you, Daddy dear, And while you rest in peaceful sleep Your memory we shall always keep. 🌹

I read a book about Pretty Boy by Larry McMurtry. I’ve never had a favorable opinion of J. Edgar Hoover. But, my opinion don’t change nothing. Crime is crime. No disputing that. Sometimes the way things are done. Are a shame. And shame isn’t a crime. Is it?

I can't believe people wouldn't help hide him. what is wrong with people. some of the biggest dummies ever are the boot lickers who worship authority. years ago I heard the police on the police scanner looking for somebody i knew and really didn't like but I liked him better than the bums who sold their souls to the government. I got in my car and started driving around looking for him, I found him and got him out of there. A while later he got busted for being involved in a murder. I kinda owed him one, years earlier when he was new to the school I started picking on him. He laughed at me and he and others warned me a few times that I'm messing with the wrong person. They were right. He wouldn't beat me to a pulp. Thankfully, he just laughed me off.
