Hi KT, new friend here from Singapore. I came across your channel and love your walks. I have been to Manila several times but only walked around in the city. I would love to do walks at Parola Compound and Happyland. Will it be safe for me to walk alone there? I am Singaporean male Chinese. I had no problem walking the slums of Mumbai and back streets of Bangkok. Need your advise on these 2 places or other places in Manila. Also where can I find street food areas where locals go in Metro Manila? Thank you.

If you’ve been to Mumbai, you’ll definitely be fine in the Philippines my friend! Check out Ugbo Street in Tondo for street food, have fun!

I saw your video on a small wet market at Tatalon. May I know are there big wet markets in or near Manila? Are there other interesting street food, slums or night life areas? Please point me to your videos on these. I will be in Manila from Oct 5-12 and have 3 free days to walk around. I am looking forward to walk in Parola Compound, Happyland and other areas. I expect that an older white guy with white hair and blue eyes would probably get more looks than most , but nobody seems angry or drugged out of their minds these days ,,,,,, 15 years ago everyone warned me to stay away from the back streets , and they were probably right back then when SCAT was everywhere
