Күн бұрынIn today's video I react to Pokemon Journeys Episode 114 where Paul returns to battle Ash for training before the Masters 8. Also we see Ash's returning Pokemon coming back like Ash Charizard, Ash Sceptile, Ash Infernape, Ash Snorlax and more!
Pokémon Journeys: The Series is the eighth part of the anime series. It features all of the regions from the main-series games, including the Generation VIII games Pokémon Sword and Shield. This series shares its Japanese name with the original series when the anime first premiered in 1997, and is officially labeled with "2019", the year this series started in, for disambiguation. This new series focuses on the two protagonists Ash Ketchum and Goh, along with their partners Pikachu and Cinderace. It also features a young girl named Koharu (Chloe), who has a Yamper, and her father, Professor Sakuragi (Cerise), who runs a laboratory in Vermilion City. It features all the regions that have appeared in the Pokémon games, from Kanto to Galar. Pokémon from each region will also appear while Ash is pursing Leon in the Pokemon World Coronation Series (PWC) and Goh is chasing his dream in Project Mew.

That’s why he needs to come back and battle in the m8 even just once... I mean why would the writers let Infernape train so much with the other fire types, battle against Moltres and then help Gengar learn a new move… just saying he’s getting a lot of special treatment compared to others and it seems like he’s being set up for something special…

Yeah in the beginning he hated Paul for treating him so badly but as he grew up he started to realise Paul only wanted the best for him even if it was a different way of making him stronger and through Paul’s journey past Sinnoh he realised he shouldn’t treat his Pokémon so badly when they are doing their best for him. Perhaps, they both came to a mutual understanding with each other without communicating…

@@charanks2377 If I were to take a guess & taking into account all of Paul's known Pokemon, I'd say he could be a Ground-type Gym Leader. With all of Paul's confirmed pokemon he has access to, He has the most with 5 Ground types: Torterra, Gastrodon, Gliscor, Nidoking, and now Garchomp. If he wanted to make it full, Paul could pull a Candice tactic and have Electivire in it to counter Water weakness (like how Candice has Medicham in her team to counter Rock & Steel). And considering that its mainly Ground, who knows: maybe people could be right that it could be for viridian city

Chances are it could be Viridian Gym since in battle frontier saga, Ash fought Agatha and she mentioned she would be subbing until new gym leader comes and the games originally had Gary as gym leader replacement but he’s busy doing research. And if he is going to appear in new region as gym leader…. Then does that mean we get to fight Paul in Scarlet and Violet?

This Episode was a banger and after thinking too much😅 I think the masters 8 matchups are also alright. As if u see after the masters 8 tournament, Ash would have battled every trainer in the masters 8 once except Lance 😢. And that's why I feel that I would have been more excited if it was Ash vs Lance rather than Ash vs Steven. Also its also ok that we are not getting Ash vs Alain again, I mean it could be exciting to See a redemption match but it may also become boring as we have already seen a full match between ash and alain

Its always heartwarming to see Ash's old mons and his fire squad mentoring Gengar esp. leader Infernape and of course Paul return made this EP 🔥Though I wish we got to see Sirfetch'd learn *Leaf* *Blade* from Sceptile. (9.5/10)

This was a good episode Ash training his team at the beginning then he gets a call from Professor Oak and he and Goh went to his Lab were Ash’s is reunited with his Old Pokemon and they all start to help train Ash’s new Pokemon some new Moves All the fire type train Gengar Heracross, Buizel and Hawlucha train Lucario while Noivern Starapter and Swellow training Dragonite then Paul arrives with his Electrvire and challenges Ash to a three on three battle to test him for the Masters Lucario vs Gyarados struggles a bit but has learned Bullet punch which helps him win then Dragonite vs Garchomp Dragonite held up for a bit and Ash had Dragonite use Dracometaor but he ends up lossing this being his second loss I hope he wins in the masters 8 then Finally Gengar vs Metagross it’s struggles for a bit thanks to its Speed but Gengar learned Willow Wisp which effect cause Burns that Slowed Metagross’s Speed and power of its moves down allowing it to win with a Point blank Shadowball and Ash wins then Goh figures out Paul was using The aces of Lance, Cynthia and Steven in the battle which Paul says this was meant to prefer Ash for those Possible battles and leaves with Oak revealing Paul is going to become the new Viridian City Gym leader this taking Blue’s Place instead of Gary the episode is 10.

7:00 I honestly hope Lucarios move set is Aura Sphere, Reversal, Steel Beam, and Bullet Punch. Steel Beam lowers health and reversal does more damage when health is low, so honestly steel beam works.

I might be the only one who despises the idea of Paul becoming a gym leader. That’s him admitting his inability to win a league and become a champion. And gym leaders are more concerned with testing others rather than traveling to improve their own team’s power. That’s not Paul. He’s basically doing a complete reversal and following his brother’s footsteps - something that would have horrified him. Washing out on his goal of being the strongest to take an easier path. Too bad. The anime is better when there’s brutal trainers focused on power and winning. It’s a beautiful contrast to 99% of the other characters. Also - Gengar has become a bulky boy. How the heck did GENGAR become a team tank in recent battles? Surviving a psychic, a meteor mash, and physically dominating a Metagross by CATCHING another meteor mash. Even with its attack cut, Gengar physically overpowering a Metagross is a bit much.

Paul is still all about power and going for the best pokemon he can catch, also he still trains his pokemon hard but he learned in Sinnoh league and losing to brandon that power isnt everything and he has matured as a trainer, it is that simple. I dont see how him being a gym leader is him showing he isnt capable of winning a league, in fact I believe Paul can easily reach masters 8 or very very very close to it. I believe paul still wants to be the best but right now his mindset is elsewhere maybe he wont challenge a league or be in tournements until he beats brandon(who is champion lvl trainer imo) who tf knows really.

This episode is a 10/10!!!!!! Everyone appeared & practically helped out in this episode!!!!! It's cool Buizel, Heracross, & Hawlucha taught Lucario how to do Bullet Punch (goodbye Reversal; but strange he learned a Steel type move from Bug/Fighting, Water, & Fighting/Flying type Pokemon) & even Cooler that Gengar gravitated to all of Ash's Fire types (specifically Infernape & Charizard; and glad they did Infernape right this time for redemption) & learned how to use Will-O-Wisp (thought it was Fire Punch at first, and also I guess Goodbye Sludge Bomb; I guess the EP title was being literal about a Training Battle of Flames as it wasn't just about a heated battle with Ash vs Paul again, but actually meant Gengar) (AND THAT GENGAR WAS THE STAR OF THE EPISODE & THE FIGHT!!!!!!!!!). {It was nice that Noivern, Swellow, Staraptor, & Unfezant taught Dragonite how to fly better; same with Oshawott & Sceptile with Sirfetch'd & its swordplay; but wasn't expecting Glalie & Dracovish training together under a waterfall... for patience I guess?!}. And the Finishing Touch was The Perfect Groupshot at the end with Ash & all of his pokemon!!!!!! Even more so that in the near center of the photo, it's most of his aces that includes both Lucario & Gengar!!!!!!!!!!!! {Lucario was taught by Greninja, but Gengar was taught by Infernape & Charaizard; that's especially meaningful for something!!!!!!!!!!!!}) Albeit, I felt bad for Dragonite & Sirfetch'd as you can hardly notice them at all in the photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...... dracovish was decent in it

The support and the training was top knotch in this episode and a great battle between Ash and Paul. I’m surprised Paul had been nice during his reunion with Ash and meeting with Goh as well towards the Pokémon… Paul has grown up so much…Wow 😯 The only nitpicks I had was Brandon not being mentioned and that their battle didn’t end up in a tie which would have provided the opportunity for Paul to tell Ash to consider using his other powerful mons *YEAH I’M TALKING ABOUT YOU INFERNAPE YOU KNOW YOU A BEAST* I know this theory is gonna be a stretch but because they didn’t mention something simple that being what gym Paul is taking control of… makes me think he’s gonna return in Gen 9 for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and become a gym leader in that new region which confirms Ash still remaining the main character which would be incredible!!! This episode gets a 9/10 for me

Once😒 again the Japanese writers for this episode has wasted another perfect opportunity for few of Ash's Pokemon to finally evolved. The reason why I still believe that Ash should go back to train his old Pokemon again because through Pokemon Black and White, XY, Sun and Moon and so far in Journey Series Ash never recall them back to his team when he first got ready to compete in the Unova, Kalos and Alola League. There is one time that he once did before back in Pokemon DP Sinnoh League Victors were Ash finally decided to recall some of his Pokemon and at the same episode his Cyndaquil finally evolved into Quilava which was the best part of that episode. I Know Ash once recall his old Pokemon back in the Pokemon Battle Frontier but that doesn't count because he only used Snorlax and Heracross during the Frontier Challenge but yeah he also used his Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charizard along with his Pikachu against Brandon but nothing happened either. The only reason why they get stronger as well as help Ash win the battle because the Japanese writers made them win on purpose because to them their Unevolved form are cute and popular in Japan and make money too which to me it's getting old and I don't care🙅♀️ about that at all even if some people disagree with my opinion. If I was the writer of this episode then I would make this episode a lot better by getting Ash's Bayleaf, Quilava, Totodile, Gible, Pignite, Oshawott, Scraggy and Snivy to evolved at last.

Well unfazent battled only 4 times in the series it was most of the time in the lab It won against Swoobat swanna and braviary Lost to koffing (who never lost a battle before) and riolu who was just broken for some reason
