Infant Annihilator is an intentionally satirical band. They are deliberately over the top in everything they do, from the lyrical content to the musicianship. It's intentionally tongue in cheek and kind of a riff on how edgy and tryhard some of the Deathcore/Death Metal community can be. So if you do read the lyrics, keep that in mind. They aren't serious, it's satire. Even the song names are satire. Brojob is another band that is both FANTASTIC musically but also is a complete mocking teardown of the genre and it's hyper masculinity. Fantastic react to this. I loved the reactions.

@@drphdmd7064 I actually prefer the slower musicality of Brojob to the more frenetic stuff i've heard from the same people. I tend to like Downtempo like Black Tongue, deeper and harder stuff like Extermination Dismemberment, which is technically Slam I think. I'll check out Akeldama tho for sure.

12:05 That's called a gravity blast, basically you use the rim of the snare to bounce the stick up and down and you can do a one-handed super fast and epic drum roll. Basically the forbidden jutsu of drumming.

The gravity blasts when he puts the snare stick on the rim is insane. This is a satirical band and over top every song but the thing that is insane and that makes me love C*ntcrusher is that no part reapears. There is no repetition. If you're interested in more of the drummers stuff, he's in another band called Black Tongue and it's not quite as technical as Infant Annihilator here. He still goes real hard on it, but not as aggressive. Black Tongue- Second Death would be a good start for them. But Infant Annihilator themselves probably have a lot of great stuff to look into as well, and as long as you don't look at the lyrics, you could get a kick out of their process and sink your teeth into some of the music and the instrumental stuff behind it all.

@key of Geebz response to the the double kick consistency question. New age drummers nowadays use a electronic sensor that attaches to kick drum also known in the scene as a "trigger" these can be put on both kick drums, snares, even toms if needed. This trigger outputs a sample of the kick when struck creating a sound that is identical with each kick. This way it doesn't matter if each kick is softer or harder than the last aslong as that sensor feels a thump it will produce the exact same sound at the exact same volume. This helps the drummer play very fast with less power in each stoke but output a booming sound through the PA. My drummer uses them in our band.

As a drummer myself, whenever i see a super fast drummer like this one i also try to watch them live because in the present day it's super easy to bump the volume on the snare, for example, but then live the snare isn't as loud. Don't get me wrong, it's impressive that the drummer can play such a piece live note by note! The snare hits are just not as loud live because that's not humanly possible. The double bass is legit though. You can learn heel-toe technique to make double notes with one leg motion, therefore playing 32th notes with 16th leg motion, and the volume is as loud as a normal single kick.

Love your stuff Geebz. The samples on this drum kit are from drum software called "Superior Drummer 2' which a lot of musicians (commonly guitarists writing their own music) use to program their drums without a real drummer. This is 100 % NOT the audio from this video take and you can tell because several points his sticks don't match the hits that are actually heard. So that, combined with the Superior Drummer samples, leads me to believe this take is most likely programmed and mimed by a drummer who CLEARLY has the chops to play this extreme style. I wanna be clear on that last part, no hate, he can clearly play. But this would explain your point about the clarity and "evenness" of those quick double bass parts and one-handed "gravity blasts." At the very least his hits are sampled and quantized to the grid, this creates that weird computer-like perfection on all the 32nd and 64th note sections and fills. But I'm just gonna assume its programmed because lots of bands write and record this way by programming drums in this fashion. Keep it up!

3:42 Not an engineer but someone said in another video that he may be using triggers, basically a device that detects hits and plays the drum sound.

The kick drums are using a thing called triggers, it's very hard to get that kind of power behind a kick to generate that sound when you're going at that speed, a trigger pad allows the beater to essentially feather tap the pad and this will then trigger a set output, obviously in this case the sound of a kick drum that is how they are so loud and all squared off levels volume wise. Some people call it cheating as you've got the speed but no power but it still takes immense skill to go this fast and at this BPM still keeping the time.

when he did the fast thing on the snare, thats a gravity blast, and you kinda have to position your stick angled over the rim and when you go up and down with ur arm, it’ll hit the snare twice

As for the kicks for your question about how the producer keeps the levels in check at the same levels, most likely using some kind of trigger with a pre recorded sample. Its actually more common within the metal genre then others.
