I have been aware of this band and listened a bit on and off for 20 years now, but I will give it to them that they have become better and better thought the years. Instead of just re hashing their hit singles from the first album they keep evolving and staying relevant. I’ve gone from thinking they are ok to really being a fan the last few albums.

So you mention Vessel's screaming- there's a song they did called "Gods." It hits you in the face with heavy before throwing in a dramatic twist. I think you'd love it

Kylesa is such a good band. If you want to dive a bit more into them i suggest you pick something from their Static Tensions Album. If you want to listen to some great drum work and riffing I suggest Running Red. If you want something more upbeat check Scapegoat and if you want something more psychedelic check Unknown Awareness or To Walk Alone (also with great drumming). Their first, self titled album is more like early Mastodon if you are into this. Their albums after Static Tensions are more "introspective". Anyway, I hope you enjoyed them and hopefully we'll see more reactions to them.

I've followed your channel for a couple years and had no idea you did this one. The remaster of The Soft Bulletin is so perfect, and the album will make you weep tears of beauty.

Ive never been crazy for the guitar compositions of doom or sludge. I can appreciate the ambient feel it gives me, but it kills my soul with how little it moves me. Love the channel Geebz!

The instrument you mentioned is called Ek Tara (single string). It’s a traditional instrument used in Punjabi folk music.

Clutch are awseome! First heard their stuff on a Louder Than Rock compilation CD, with 'Texan Book Of The Dead'. It was my motivational song in my head for months when I started a new job. :D

And you can also listen to the original demo (here on YT) where Kevin moore actualiy sings on the track. Labrie is obviously a better singer IMO, but it was fun to hear Kevins pure demo, amazung. This is The most moody of songs. The sample within sits perfect. Kevin must be a really moody guy. Love the song!

I like how the voice samples on this track subtle reference the voice samples on the track Cliffs from his SAWII album.

One of the best songs ever, one that you can't help but feel closer to every time you hear it, whether you last heard it yesterday, a month or 1 year ago.

Love this album. May I suggest you do a reaction to Magazine, one of the best post punk groups during that period. I'd recommend Secondhand Daylight - sounds as fresh and innovative today as when I first heard it over 40 years ago.

Chevelle is my favorite band. Of course, I dig Deftones and Tool, too. I love dynamic rock music. I think what got me into this style of music was Rush 2112. It was my favorite album when I was kid. It all continued from there.

Mr Bungle's Carousel is an amazing song, in my top-10 ever! But I don't see many people contemplating on the lyrics which are in my case even more impressive than the musical wizardry!

Hi Gibi. Of all the bands you reacted to, you still haven't reacted to Ayreon? My o my. You really should! Ayreon is the creation of the Dutchman Arjen Lucassen; composer, arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and especially a guy with a giant 'black book' filled with private phone numbers. He can rely on some of the world's best and famous singers to perform his music. To drop a few names: Bruce Dickinson, Chris Maitland, Clive Nolan, Damian Wilson, Daniel Gildenlow, Dave Brock, Devin Townsend, Devon Graves, Floor Jansen, James LaBrie, Russell Allen, John de Lancie (as narrator), etc., etc.. His music is story driven and multiple albums continue the same story. I suggest you start at "The Day That The World Breaks Down": kzfaq.info/get/bejne/paylgK6V1-C0oYk.html&pp=ygUkYXlyZW9uIHRoZSBkYXkgdGhlIHdvcmxkIGJyZWFrcyBkb3du

All the songs are by Jon Davis of Korn. He recorded the whole album with his vocals, these versions are in the movie. In my opinion the Jon Davis versions are far superior to the songs that appeared on the soundtrack. Although ofcourse the guest vocalists did a great job.

I think of the Beatles 'A Day In The Life' when I here the escalating, emphatic pounding of the piano building up louder and louder, reminding me of the escalating orchestral section of the Beatles song.
