In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Watcher. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Run History Plus, giving us more info in the Run Summary screen about the run: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/casey-c/mapmarks

Having Pandora as a boss swap along with top and pyramid early....yeah that's a good recipe for going infinite in chapter 3 lol Peace pipe and madness came through as well.

The last floor fight with the spikers was handled way smoother than I was ever expecting, I definitely would have taken a lot of damage in the same fight

Reminds me of that time when the Heart was defeated for the first time. "Hey streamer, how do you find that last boss?" "Tbh I have no idea what it does" It was some kind of stupid deck like this, and it was before damage cap got introduced, exactly because of that.

So I only really play Ironclad. A20 a few times, but I’m finally bored of it. Which character is the most fun for you guys? I want to study strategy on another character so I can get into the runs more rather than learning as I go. Feels a bit tedious.

Defect is my favorite. Ironclad and Silent are about even in my book. Watcher is the only one I'm not a huge fan of. But I'd definitely recommend trying some Defect or Silent runs. Both are awesome. But Defect is the shit.

Silent draw/discard deck, it's the hardest one but once you manage to build one, it's really fun.

My favorite would have to be silent, but mainly shiv/attack heavy decks, but even poison and discard are pretty fun, I don't like her form though, I think Echo form or Deva form are more fun overall.

Why does the tantrum avoid the discard pile and return to the draw over and over without the other cards?

One of tantrums effects is that when played it returns to your draw pile instead of being discarded. I believe it is the only watcher card that has this effect

Your luck on these runs is so insane. I know that you are selecting the most interesting runs out of probably several, but how many runs are ending up on the cutting room floor to generate these sweet ones where everything seems to go your way. I mean you had practically a heart run deck in act 1. My boss swaps never go as well, and my transforms never have as much built in synergy, much less getting eggs immediately.
