Personally i would of found the cause of the oil in that area before putting the new altenator on. It could last a year before it happens again. Good video though very informal. Keep it up

Mine is doing the same thing I replaced my power steering pump but it’s leaking somewhere I don’t know where. So the fluid is all over the place and alternator which causing the same issues with yours. Now I have replace my alternator

My alternator locked up and caused my car to not start. Belt snapped and car started right up after replacing battery. This video helped me get that fucking alternator out in a reasonable amount of time. It was a pain in the ass but worth it. 240k on my 08 G35 still a beast.

If the battery is good, and the lights are turning on in the car then yeah the alternator is a common issue. I have a G37, alternator went bad because previous owner used wrong battery type.

Should of replaced that leaky pump or high pressure line. Good job though I'm replacing both right now altenator and power steering pump.

when ur alternator went out did ur battery light and brake light come on as well ?

yes dont drive it mine did today drove like that for 30 min then stopped this is the second time

Yes it will. It warning you that it can't no longer charge the battery properly and it will die. You will lose power and won't be able to accelerate. And all your dash lights will turn on if you continue to drive it

Yess BREAK & BATTERY DASH-LIGHT TURNED ON this just happened to me ,it DOES Rev up on Park & Neutral but does NOT Rev up on Drive or Reverse ,I will be changing Alternator today I will update
