Today we're talking about the eternal rival, vanilla Yu Jing. Thinking PanOceania would look better in yellow with keypiece models that could hide behind terrain smaller than a house is only the start of what Yu Jing has to recommend to it; they have an incredibly deep roster with a ton of explorable space, a fraction of which we'll try to cover in this video.

I think that one thing people never talk about is how versatile vanilla Yu Jing really is. I am a veteran of 10+ years of Yu Jing and one thing I absolutely love is that in one game I can play a full Camo, Holomask, hidden deployment list where the opponent has no clue what is happening the whole game. And then the next game is all HI all day long with very obvious models but really hard to deal with. Especially when playing against experienced, good players having this kind of absolute insanity of selection of skills and equipment is what makes #1 faction really #1 ;)

You are releasing these faction focus videos at a ridiculous pace, I didn't even have the spare time to watch the previous two ones^^" I will get through them eventually though, I very much liked what I saw so far!

I feel like no army in Infinity has more "pet" units than Yu Jing, "pet" in this case meaning: "no seriously, it's actually really good, trust me bro!" For me that unit is the Crane Agent. I know it looks like it isn't amazing it anything, but trust me bro, the hacker is a demon of a midfielder and surprisingly difficult to deal with. Also the Spitfire LT for 0SWC is a fun meme pick.

The Italian satellite finale ended up depending on a Hundun! The Shasvastii player moved his Sheskiin aggressively on the second MOV, because the Hundun was already dead... and the White Banner player said, in the most chilling voice, "I reveal a second Hundun" and got to take a free, unopposed shot on the big slug herself. The Shas player paled, the WB player rolled... and missed. And then they started breathing again. The shas player ended up winning the game and thus the tournament, but admitted that single shot could have meant defeat.

I was not expecting this cascade of content from my favorite Infinity channel, but I am absolutely here for it.

Just add on here, a great duo is Tinbot -6, Zuyong, Jujak, or Shang Ji with Pheasant KHD or HD, or just giving extra hacking protection to a Guijia.

The Shang-ji and Hulang are must-try units, amongst all the other phenomenal and criminally unrepresented profiles! Great break downs, so much more value than the tier lists for casual (and mediocre) players

Great Episode! I recently moved from vanilla Yu Jing to White Banner. A lot of the units you mentioned really have great synergy in WB and change in how you can run them. Makes list writing and playing them a blast.

Rob, I am loving the faction focus videos! I'm not super new to the game, but I only have a few matches under my belt, and no tournament play at all. There is a lot of nuances to the game I still have not been exposed to, and these videos do a lot more to actually help understand a faction versus the tier lists. So thanks mate!

I wish all HI had MOV 6-2 and then CB worked backward to give the heavy platforms that utilize raw strength to their work, like the Yan Huo, or Ariadna HI, MOV 4-4. It would really differentiate HI from MI in a major way as it's more than what you gain by using it's also what you lose by facing. One thing you'd gain was that the rifle profiles would gain greater viability while the heavy weapon options would gain relatively little. An example of this is the Asura. When it was MOV 4-4 only really the Spitfire profile appealed to me since that was the most effective way for it to work. Now that it has MOV 6-2 the MULTI-Rifle profiles are appealing to me since having to only use only two Orders to move into optimal range for an X-Rifle is a lot more effective than three. Hacking Areas would be a lot less effective since even with the biggest radius of 16" MOV 6-2 only need to use three Orders to clear it using Move-Reset while 4-4 needs five. It would also fit the N2 distribution where LI was 4-4, MI 4-2, and HI 4-4 again. It's also already given out at seemingly random with no lore justification at all. The Knight of Justice has MOV 6-2, ARM 5, and BTS 9. Jeanne d'Arc, supposedly one of the biggest cards in the PanO hand only has MOV 4-4, ARM 5. and BTS 6. Jeanne d'Arc v2( Mobility Armour) is even worse,. While it does have MOV 6-2 it only has ARM 3. A nameless, "generic" knight has better gear than a top-of-the-line, expensive recreation. It makes no sense except from a pure rules perspective of wanting to make the KoJ more appealing. The same with the Asura, its MOV was changed solely so it could keep up with the rest of the Harris team who have MOV 6-X, no lore reason, no nothing, the new model has the same proportions as the old. ORC armour is the MCHI of PanO HI, yet it's better in the field than a Knight of Santiago who has bespoke HI befitting their important role. To add insult to injury they cost almost the same despite the Santiago having Frenzy.

Your point about Duos is interesting - I think this is a woefully undersupported part of the game in other Vanillas.

Well, about one month on, im now looking at my desk with a recently built Daoying, Su-Jian, Bixie, Krit Kokram, Beasthunter, Shaolin Monks, Yan Huo, and I'm wondering how I got here. Best get painting I suppose

YJ has only had the most HI in the last few years. They were equal or beat by PanO for a long time. They also didn’t have the best, and still don’t. Weirdly, the Asawira is the best HI for the points. REF put them way over for number of HI by gaining 3 more. YJ now beats out for number of Size 5 HI at 4. But the new Torchlight gives them a run for their Yuan.

Just casually ignoring the best DaoYing profile in the multi sniper.....i kid but its worth the look if you have points/swc As a late game utility piece, especially if your nco units have been knocked out personally i have had a lot of success with that profile. You do have to be incredibly careful with it and it can backfire, but it also can win you games in a way the hacker won't. Mim+surprise+range makes it fairly safe and the ability to have another gun that your opponents don't know about to make some late games shots has been invaluable. Also it wipes the floor with flash bots/warcors
