All of you hate Quill for having an emotional reaction. Think, about it. Gamora had asked Quill to kill her if Thanos got her. He was ready to kill her. He had pulled the trigger. But now Gamora's death was in vain as they lost to Thanos, the man Gamora hated. The girl he loved died at the hands of her abusive dad and her last wish (which was for the greater good) remained unfulfilled. Think of the anger that would consume you in that moment. Also, it was a parallel to Drax's emotional and impractical response to Thanos, which Quill thought stupid and impulsive. Now he knew how Drax felt.

Just hearing “Let the rain , wash away, all the pain of yesterday” and seeing the characters pass away, especially Spider-Man, makes me want to just cry into my old Spider-Man blanket I had when I was young.
