INFJ Life Coach Lesson: Today we're asking the questions are INFJs inverse ESTPs? Are we going to use that knowledge to our own advantage when it comes to personal growth or should we actually get together with ESTPs in any kind of scenario in order to optimize our power? These are the things we're gonna talk about today.

What‘s your take on the INFJ/ESTP Duality?
@lxf9914

I have a good ESTP friend. We learn alot from each other and yes we are more similar than we realize. I went to visit him once and I said something (I still don't know what it was but his response suprised me) and he said "why are we the same"? I still have no idea what I said...but I think both of us can see that we are very different yet having the same judging and perceiving functions in the same proximity (as opposed to say ISTP or ENFJ where they are a jumbled up version of us) leads to this weird phenomena. They are a lot of energy for me though sometimes but I do learn alot from them by observation. How they behave around people, how they go about things. Why they do these things etc. And they will crack you up without trying. They do things that we consider rude but will make you laugh. Once we went for a hike and this old man was riding his bike up a slope thats on the way to the mountain trail. It looked funny because he was old and skinny and peddeling very slowly up the hill. I see that. yes, it looks funny but I say nothing. Then my friend yells, "hey! need a push!?" haha oh man, like you don't say that. lol but nope, he did. turns out the "old man" was actually super in shape and runs the mountain every day. He beat us up and down the mountain. But INFJ definitly needs to set boundaries because ESTP doesn't know we are introverts and will want to hang out all the time...I don't think both can be happy long term together though due to different energy levels. Energy wise - INFJ is more of a Jazz cat and ESTP a "rough rider". But I think that if they respect each other enough they will always be good acquaintances/friends that unite every once in awhile after running their own lives. We have the same interests though usually I find. And yes 100% agree - we have to do our own things! Just observing: INFJ: Marina---- Jorja Smith-- The Weeknd---- Aargon (fantasy character) ESTP: P!nk ------- Rihanna------- Bruno Mars----- Madmartigan (comparable fantasy character)

I (m, ESTP) had a great relationship with an INFJ, long before I knew about MBTI. We were totally different, but could learn so much from each other. And the connection was immense! Now I get why!

I (INFJ) have an (ESTP) wife. We’ve been together a total of 20 years and it’s a struggle. We’re awesome at times, other times we find ourselves at a stalemate. Neither living the life we ultimately dream of. When one of us is truly happy the other is miserable. We’re still trying to figure it out. This video is helpful in understanding the dynamics. Thank u.

I’m an INFJ In a 2 year relationship with my ESTP. It’s such a unique relationship, but works so well at the same time. We both like that we both are able to help eachother in areas we’re not so good at. We’re so different but we have always felt something in common with eachother, it’s very weird but great.

It's hard when you're infj and your mother in-law is estp...can't see things eye to eye. She want to live together, always party, talk loud, always get in my business...why can't people be respectful of others whom you are living with...sometimes i get so tired and sick of such behavior... I mean Under my roof, You are allowed to have your opinions, thinking and way of living....just don't expect me to be same. can't pretend to enjoy whatever you do.... I would like to be left alone....Now you come along and always trying to change things...and keep saying... Oh "it's not you guys (me and her son) and and us... It's us together... We are small family... We should always be together "...🙄Im like we are together.. Under my roof🤯. It just very frustrating. make me feel as if we are together only, if I share everything with her my thoughts, My plans, and take her along then only then "we are together" no I'm not just feeling it but she'll only bring up "we should be together" crap only when I don't want to share...nothing like freaking privacy!!! Why is it so hard to understand that privacy is important! 🤯🤪 Yet, me being typical infj😔 always putting up with it and actually feel sorry for her....i hate explaining everything to her I feel like I'm wasting my energy behind someone who doesn't want to put any effort to understanding others.. It's her way or wrong way.... I wish I would have guts to confront her one day and just say what I feel.

My ESTP mom sometimes taps into her INFJ aspiration and she can write beautiful feeling-centered poetry. She used to write about the sorrows of the world. Most of the time she lives in the moment, works hard plays hard, loves new experiences and does not like being touchy feely or having deep conversations. I know my mom is an ESTP. She likes being around a lot of people, she loves parties and shows her love by buying gifts like ESTPs, ENTPs, ESTJs and ENTJs do.

Such an interesting thing!!!! I had never thought about that! Makes more sense now. I have a good ESTP friend and I had noticed that we complemate each other well, and also sometimes one of our primary funtions gets in the way so strongly that we copy and align to the preferences of the other, and we look at ourselfs confused 😆😅. And even though we want so different things, we understand the other so well. Now makes more sense why that happens. Thank you so much for the enlightenment, Wen!!!

I’m an ESTP. I can act like an INFJ if I need to, but I won’t keep it up for long. Using Ni is exhausting, Fe is more natural but still exhausting. I’m at my best when I don’t have deal with feeling stuff or abstract ideas. I can do it for sure and I do do it consistently, but it exhausts me. I’m guessing it’s the same for you in reverse.

I was a great athlete growing up. I can definitely hang athletically. The difference is that after a game or performance (music) I HAVE to be alone and mentally review and analyze everything that just happened before I can go on to the next thing. It's like I need mental closure for the Se thing that just happened. So yeah, if I don't get to do that it can be exhausting. Like there is just too much "stuff" piling up for me to think on. I have to Ni before and after the Se event to be comfortable. Otherwise I really do enjoy my Se and generally see lots of beauty in the world.

Hi Wenzes, I had to watch this video! 🙂 If I want to become good in something, I look for someone who masters that skill. As a second-year race rower I teamed up with experienced race-rowers and my learning curve went to the moon. And to improve my Fe-Ni, I prefer to team up with INFJs, the intuitive feeling masters.

I come to watch the videos to help organize my thoughts to make sense, im doing the actions and I know its good for me but I think its weird, causes anxiety but im working through it and valuing myself, I lost a job once cuz my girlfriend only had Thursdays off from work and college so I skipped work on Thursdays so I could make her happy cuz I just wanted the best for her but I neglected myself

Yeah, looking back, I kinda always had an attraction the ESTP-ish, high (Se) girls. One of my best friends in high school was totally high (Se) and probably ESTP, but honestly, he got me way out of my comfort zone MANY times, and that was just one the things that kept us friends so long, even years after HS. It was definitely an "opposites attract" friendship.

Hey, Wenzes :) I find it kind of odd you were attracted to ESTPs. I dislike the sensory types for the most part. I guess my ISFJ mom has a lot to do with that because she's told me all my life I'm lazy. My dad is an ESFJ and he's always been more understanding of my lack of energy. For years I didn't want to do the cooking and the cleaning. Then I started cooking for myself, but I still 0rocrastinate the cleaning a lot sometimes. I've surrounded myself with ENFPs, INFJs, INTJs, an ENFJ and I have a bunch of friends whose types I'm not quite sure of. Still I'm appreciative when others do some of the physical tasks for me, it's quite a relief, but I hate it when I when someone starts pushing me. Thanks for the video! Just yesterday I watched C. S. Joseph's video on the cognitive transitions of INFJs. It's kind of funny you came out with similar topic 😁

ESTP are good people but most of the people I have come across also suffer from being a malignant narcissist and I can not stand those people. Being an INFJ and A Sigma personality is not good to run into an ESTP that is also an Alpha. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ Clash of the titans is best way to describe it.

Im still trying to recall and understand what all of these functions are. Im slowly getting there. Lol! That SE. I was thinking today how when i think of my visions, when i FEEL into them, the gap btween my imagination and reality seem so huge, i actually scare myself! Deciding to take that first step is real! Ive been doing it for 7 years now in my side biz; and when it is time to take those steps i still feel scared, doubtful, and overwhelmed. It takes a lot of mental/emotional energy out of me, yet when obstacles are overcome--thatboost!🚀🚀And when i get to the end. Omg!🍻 Let's celebrate!! The process is an emotional roller coaster😆 when you do MBTI comparisons, can you give us examples of the other? A celebrity or politician or scientist? Or describe their personality? I dont know what an ESTP is like?
