but doc the pathogenesis of ascites is low capillary oncotic pressure its not inflammatory in nature can you clear the concept for me please and if it is a synonym for peritoneal effusion

..good question 😊Ascitis is a common term used synonymous with peritoneal effusion.. There are mane causes for ascitis..peritoneal and non peritoneal causes... Peritoneal causes will be usually inflammatory in nature.. So..one of the causes of ascitis is inflammatory.. Hope this clarifies
