I don’t know who needs to hear this.. if you’re in med school or a current doctor OR even have aspirations to become a doctor or nurse, thank you and please keep going. The world needs people like you who is willing to put in the work not for the money, but for the constant studying and staying up all night so you can help people with problems like this. Thank you.

Most are in it for the money and follow guidelines created by the pharmaceutical companies that fund the research. It’s all a game. Take care of yourself with good diet and exercise and you will never need to see a doctor for the rest of your life

@@nartron3000 The companies are vile and scummy. The research is scientific and real, and you will not find a physician who disagrees with your last point. The large companies are your enemies, not (mostly) the individual healthcare workers. I wonder what your opinion on vaccines are.

@@nartron3000 and what if I have a mutated gene and would die without medicine? Diet and exercise won't help if I have mutated MHC genes. Diet won't help if I have a point mutation for my hemoglobin gene. Excersise won't help a patient with metastatic melanoma, where as CTLA-4 Checkpoint blockade has a 72% chance of saving their life (provided for my scientists(me) and doctors) What about surgery? After colorectal cancer surgery I found out I had Colitis and probably for a very long time. It was hell fighting stage 3 colorectal cancer, but I‘m a survivor. I just had a flare up. But I‘m ok.. Fasting seems to help a lot with Colitis. For me at least. 16 years cancer free..

I have Crohns disease, and have since I was 9. I have found your account since I am taking microbiology currently, and your video on bacteria was very helpful. I understand Crohns and Colitis, but I am honestly tempted to make business cards with this URL on it when people ask me what Crohns is in a rush or if they're tacky about it. I had surgery in 2009 where a foot of my ileum was taken out along with my appendix (I had appendicitis as a result of the flareup and my ilium had "wrapped" around my appendix when the ilium tissue swelled up), and in January of 2015 I had another 6 inches taken out of my ileum from scar tissue creating a stricture along with 4 inches of my duodenum. Before my surgeries there was not any "physical" proof of my illness and it was incredibly frustrating to explain growing up in school that yes I just went to the bathroom 10 minutes ago but now I have to go again, and I have been told on multiple occasions that I was "faking" the pain until I had physical proof such as after my first colonoscopy/ endoscopy and there were almost 30 ulcers from my mouth to my anus. Any who that is a long story, but I so greatly appreciate your channel and this video I hope you're fine with me referring people to. :)

Heal Your Gut Guy- generally correct, however Crohn's and UC are caused by autoimmunity. Bacteria and diet certainly affect it massively, and some cases are wildly different but it's not the root cause of inflammation. Edit: just realised that he's spamming it on all of the videos. That's kinda dangerous, having crohn's myself- if you leave it without proper medical treatment you can end up in deep trouble very quickly.

I have a attack on right now with my gut and not eaten for days due to unbearable pain in my stomach and bowel and gallbladder area . Been in hospital with it and the hospital referred it back to my GP. However I've been coping with this for many years now ever since they took my gallbladder out and had the same kind of attacks ever since . I was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and the pain is horrendous and it's taken over my life and left me bedridden for the passed few years and I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel. It's EVERYDAY pain and I'm on the strongest pain relief you can get. This Video helps with a better understanding to how our gut works etc. Thanks ...

I know this is a older video, But i have been suffering from IBS they call in here in Australia, but for the past 6+ years doctors and specialists have been always blaming it on my food intake which i might add is VERY limited. But in march this year a CT scan showed partial malrotation of the small bowel, causing a ladds band and this has been know to have issue by it's self. Trouble is the surgeon is only a lets say jack of all trades and not a gastroenterologist who only deals with this area of the body, So now i am faced with constantly dealing with doctors who do not fully understand what is going on with me and reluctant to provide medications, apart from antacids. It as been a long road with invasive tests, constant scans. But they always seem unable to get any answers or should i say lack of them. This leaves me in a position where i can no longer work as i am unable to control my stomach and bowels from over reacting to food or fluid intake. The only way to seem to get these doctors to sit up and take notice is to keep letting them know that things are getting worse, and to say i no longer have a quality of life. I am not one for sitting down and doing nothing, So my point is there is always light at the other end, Never give up because sometimes doctors can!! All the people i have been seeing are going around in circles and seem to be unable to think outside the box so to speak. The worst part of all this is when they don't believe you and you are sent home to suffer with little medication to help ease your symptoms. And now getting pain relief is like asking for a million dollars. A big thanks for this video this helped me understand a lot about my stomach. Funny enough it seems to fit most of crohns disease, not just a bad case of irritable bowel syndrome or IBD for other parts of the world.

Natural herbs can cure all kinds of illness including herpes, diabetics, asthma, Cancer, hepatitis, etc. I've seen it with my own eyes. I was cured of ulcerative colitis and my Sister and her Husband were cured of herpes by dr Osemuahu who uses natural herbs to cure different kind of illness. HermioneCovers 101 it can a secondary superimposed bacterial infection that can miss guide, but if you're Dr is 100% sure it's crohn's and there is another enerobacteria you should be really careful since crohn is transmural leading to bacteremia sepsis and let us hope it stops there and develop to a septic shock! So go ask for some extra examinations such as culture sample fecal and colic, ELISA....etc

Do any of these cause reoccurring constipation? I've dealt with constipation since I was 3 and I'm 23 and it's still continuing. I've been told I could have Celiacs but the blood test came back negative, but I do feel quite unwell every time I eat gluten. It feels like all my energy is being drained out of me, I get bloated, I get abdominal cramps, I get constipated, I feel like my brains foggy. The only thing blood test have shown is gluten in my diet causes me vitamin deficiencies. Being gluten free I don't have painful constipation but my bowel movements are still very irregular without miralax. The last few years I've experienced discomfort and pain on my left side, it almost feels like my colon becomes inflamed, but then it seems to recover for awhile and then it happens again.

Catherine Stanley I fit into this category unfortunately. I always have constipation and it hurts so bad. I try to stay away from carbs and eat small meals throughout the day but still.. absolutely nothing helps. I've been dealing with this for two years. You have remission. Weeks where you feel fine. Maybe bloated but fine. Then you relapse and have episodes. I have a endoscopy done. Everything seemed fine. Took biopsy I had to wait some more. He called and said everything was fine. .. I was devastated. Felt like I was going crazyyy. Then things seemed fine again. But all of a sudden it wakes me up in the middle of the night every time! Sweats. Stomach cramps from hell! 😭😭 Omg... Then I get sick. Very nauseous. It's awful. I called doc again and he scheduled me for colonoscopy. Which was awful as well. Dulcolax tables (3) and a whole 278 mg bottle of miralax and two 64 oz Gatorades. let's just say I cried. It was the worst part for me.( Also my first one.) I went in the following morning so hungry! But I got the anesthesia which kinda burned going in.. I woke up and the doctor came in and said everything looked fine. Let's just say I cried the whole way home.. I felt crazy once again.. people saying it could just be my stress and or IBS. Well. The doctor took biopsy from colonoscopy and I had to wait about a week for the results to come back. I went to my follow up yesterday finallyyy. The doctor showed me on the poster where I'm inflammed. He said the biopsy showed yes for microscopic inflammation.... I was relieved knowing I was right the whole time and he can help me.. I'm currently waiting on this new medicine.. currently severe bloated and stomach cramps. But whatever. You deal with it lol but yeah... 'trust your gut' they say. Please do because I never had to deal with anything regarding my own health other than my eyesight and maybe the dentist. This is all new to me and it's scary.. I'm turning 24 this year. I also have vitiligo since the age of 12 so idk if that may have to deal with the Autoimmune disease.. who knows but I'm on a mission to get back to feeling healthy. I wish the best of luck to you 😘 I hope my comment will help you or anyone else who may come across it.. I've been on the internet looking at countless of videos and forums trying to find answers 😘 I hope mine will help. Xoxo Sam

@@SourPatchKid4e there it is. Yes I wouldn’t dismiss that your gut problems since a young age offset vitiligo. Your body was finding a way to eliminate and ultimately turned on itself. It is amazing how the immune system , gut, and brain works. I deal with constipation as well and I’m only 30 and it’s only become a thing in the last 8 years so I will be doing much more research. I have pcos and I am small light patches on my skin now. I need this gut issue resolved before I get another auto immune disease.

Editorials stated on the topic of MMR vaccine in 2010, "12 children with a pervasive developmental disorder and bowel disease, which, the authors suggested, was a new syndrome. In eight of the children, symptoms were reported to have started soon after receipt of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. In their conclusions, they stated, “we did not prove an association between measles, mumps and rubella vaccine and the syndrome described” and that more research was needed. However, at a press conference, one of the authors suggested that, rather than using the combined MMR vaccine, single vaccines for measles, mumps, and rubella should be given at yearly intervals. It was this statement, unsupported by the research, that sparked media interest. At the time, the supposed link between MMR and autism was shown to be without substance,3 but it was predicted that this bad publicity could precipitate a vaccine safety scare that would result in reduced vaccine uptake and the return of measles. This has proved all too correct."
