My suggestion to any investor old or new is to get a mentor and don’t just go buying stocks without proper considerations. Most of what is pumped out by the media is what most KZfaq ‘fin-entertainers’ churn out to you as fear uncertainty and doubt.

Agreed. That and reading some basic principles laid out in books like The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham. There are also good KZfaqrs out there like Felix, Graham Stephan, Humphrey Yang and a few others, but generally you are right.

Its unclear which stocks and sectors will lead the market in the next uptrend. Stay away from the stock market if you do not have guidance from a plannner and investment strategist. My finances have been in order since I got a wealth planner like Monica with a 600 B AUM working for me.

Fair Isaac, domino's, Costco, I can go for days for companies with insanely high 30+ forward pes.... None of these commentators ever mention these companies as overvalued. But, the popular stock of the day is always a bubble.... Almost like they prefer the shiny object attention to actual objectivity.

TL;DR: "Buy my book, it'll be good for you!" I believe the thesis has merit, but this sales pitch was unbearable. Like being poked in the eye with a sharp stick every few minutes. To quote Nassim Taleb in Skin in the Game: "...giving advice' as a sales pitch is fundamentally unethical-selling cannot be deemed advice. We can safely settle on that. You can give advice, or you can sell (by advertising the quality of the product), and the two need to be kept separate."

31:00 yes, we heard the Nvidia can't raise prices for awhile now.... Except, you're late to the party. Nvidia has been doing this to their customers for more than 15 years. I pre lube my private areas before Nvidia product release.... We know we have to buy it to do our work, irregardless of price. Nvidia knows, it's cheaper for us to spend whatever they ask, than use a new product.... Trust me dude... We tried.... Why do you think so many people fan boy over amd? We want competition... Nvidia has had operational excellence for 15+ years though. So we buy Nvidia.... I wish you actually understood the product.

I read his original book when it came out to get insight on LB just after the crisis. It didn't really have much substantive information on that, since he wasn't involved in anything important within Lehman Bros. The closest to inside info it had was about the layoff process during the collapse. In the book, he admits to mostly losing money in his private trades. I still remember the first chapter was hilariously... bad. It's basically just his early life story, and as one reviewer put it, "must be fascinating to anyone named McDonald." Why would the rest of us care though? The pizza delivery story was funny though, he sneaks into an I.bank with an empty pizza box pretending to be a pizza delivery boy, when trying to get a job early in his career.

Nvidia first started talking artificial intelligence in 2018ish for graphics. Deep learning super sampling.... But, you weren't paying attention Larry. Just because you don't know about it, doesn't mean Nvidia wasn't doing it..... This is what I explained during the "crypto boom" was that this was sustainable, because people finally were waking up to the fact Nvidia gpus were meant to be stuffed into data centers.... It was just masking the ai boom.....

What's the difference between QE and QT? Both devalue the dollar and increase inflation. QE is obvious, printing more money devalues the dollar, QT is called "reducing the Balance Sheet". But how do you do that? You buy back Treasury instruments and add to the M2 money supply to do it. Not really a difference between QE, unless you export the inflation of the buyback to other countries and buy back our debt from them.

29:49 Nvidia gefore 2000 series was announced in 2018. Nvidia the touted artificial intelligence to the dismay of customers, by announcing tensor cores. Yet this guy says Nvidia only just started caring about ai, and that in 2020, they cared about crypto, when that was a MEDIA headline. Nvidia was still promoting artificial intelligence, just it wasn't a chat bot. It was for graphics... Which is way harder. You guys got excited when Nvidia did the simplest ai tool they've ever done.... You ignored EVERY complex ai achievement Nvidia did.... Upscaling video is far more impressive for ai.... Notice, when he says Nvidia is overvalued. He never talks about the product they sell and why people might want it. It's just "this went up 83% and therefore it's overvalued." He can't talk about the product, because none of these people actually understand what Nvidia sells. Which is insane.....

You may want to relisten to that part. He did provide his rationale for his statement on that (hoarding vs using). Also, it’s in his book 😅
