This honestly reminds me of when i thought shifting was a real thing, when its actually just a bunch of teenagers saying random bullshit. I was in a bad place mentally, so the idea of being able to run away to whatever world i thought would be better sounded great on paper. Then of course you learn its a bunch of bullshit after humiliating yourself for about two weeks trying to do it. The "expose as much skin as possible while practicing mind-sight" seems like a cheat. Like, your skin is a sensory organ, it gathers information through touch. If you're blindfolded and naked, your skin can help you tell your surroundings by just slightly brushing against things.

Oh my GOD. I nearly worked for a fencing academy affiliated with that Utah program. I got hired on as an admin assistant but before I could even fill out the paperwork on my first day, I was required to watch a video on the owners with this old man who founded this "science". It was incredibly culty and gave serious red flags. When the owners asked me what I thought, I gave my honest opinion that its not founded in science and in my quick google search (it was a 40 minute long video), I couldn't find any backing. They argued back that the scientific community could not replicate his findings because only the old man knew how to do it?? I walked out after that, I didn't want to be affiliated with whatever absurd teachings they were doing behind the scenes.

One of the funniest parts of this to me is that you can’t actually perceive color that well in your peripheral vision. All of the parts of your eye that tell you colors are only focused on what’s in front of you… so there’s no way they’re just looking out of the corners of a mask, they’re just keeping it off of their eyes enough to fully see, like in the end of the video.

Hi Gonzalez! I know this comment is going to be buried under the other hundreds, but i just had to say it. That school that had uniforms similar to karate, red-white and logos and everything, that martial art is called Merpati Putih. And... I'm a member of it! You dont know how exciting it is to see a martial art from my country, Indonesia, let alone one that i join, in one of your video! Oh, this is truly unexpected. As for the Merpati Putih, yes, other than the swishy wooshy magic of it, we also learn self-defence. And meditation. So, three hours of practice, one hour of those spent on breathing exercises. I gotta say, one of my favorite exercise of the "telekinesis" (I dont know how to translate it to english, sorry) would be guessing the origami colours. I guess the exercise by our brothers and sisters overseas is more extreme? Cause we certainly couldn't guess the colors that fast. We had to feel around the origamis first (blue feels cold, green feels heavy). I used to always get them right. Unfortunately, school had catched up on me :(. But anyways, even if you dont believe in those kind of things, i had to say that the community has some of the best people i have ever met. We have a teacher that is strict during class, but very kind after the hour is over. A senior that show magic tricks to the kids when the teachers arent looking, a friend that passionately talks about her favorite books while we were sparring, and a kid who cant stop making capcut edits everytime she made a new friend. I gotta say, spending my after-school hours with them in the park, our eyes closed, trying to arrange our breathing back to normal after running 700 meters, feeling the cool night wind greeting us, is something that cant be recreated. That, and also the running frantically to the post when it starts to rain. Erm, sorry for rambling. As a kid my parents sent me to one of those mindfold programs (not that exact program but mine had the exact same premise basically) because they thought it would help with my adhd (spoiler alert; it didnt). Everyone would always put the objects way too close to their face but just ever so slightly below the blindfold

Did anyone else run into that one "mermaid spell" instruction video that told you to go to the ocean at midnight during a full moon and slowly walk deeper and deeper into the water (while chanting something) until you were fully submerged and trust the process and not come up even if you felt like you were about to pass out? Thankfully i wasn't THAT stupid as a kid but part of me did honestly wonder if it would work if i were just committed enough. Hopefully no one actually tried.

What if all the adults at that school are so certain that telekinesis is a thing and simply won't give up on forcing the children to learn it, that the children came up with a way to fake it just to be left alone? It seems like none of the teachers can do it themselves, but they still insist that anyone can learn it. So maybe the kids just found a way to placate the adults.

I don't think the kids are sworn to secrecy OR are brainwashed into thinking they're actually telekinetic. But I do think I know what's probably going on... I think what's likely happening is that every single one of those children thinks that _they're_ the only one who CAN'T see without their eyes. There is probably a lot of pressure with all the adults (including their own parents) encouraging and expecting this of them, and if they think that all of the other kids are actually able to do the things they're showing off... I can see how it would be very tempting to simply push that blindfold up a tiny bit and cheat so as not to be the outcast, or a 'failure.' But what none of them realize is that they AREN'T the only one, and every kid is doing the same thing and feeling the same way. That would be my best guess.

Hi Danny, that "karate" school is actually a pencak silat school from Indonesia. It's called Merpati Putih (meaning white dove) which you can see on the logos in their gym and badges. I immediately recognized it because I used to train in that school in Indonesia lol. I'm actually surprised they have a branch in the USA, but I can confirm that the blindfolded stuff is something they make us do because spirituality is a huge component of pencak silat as a martial art. But usually, it's to train your focus, spatial awareness, and hearing. Merpati Putih primarily focuses on self-defense, not to arbitrarily become psychic 😂😂

When it comes to the video with Sean and Rachel plus the glove demonstration, Danny was onto it. Your hands create convection currents which takes the heat from your hands and disperses it under the object as it replaces cold air. This is almost like creating wind in a way but isn't quite the same. Googling convection currents then going to images will help understand. It's not Telekinesis, but instead science which is still cool.

As someone with a mild interest in psychology, these types of videos where people are instructing others on how to use "powers" or do otherwise extraordinary things are endlessly fascinating to me. Did the person making them really believe it was real? Do they know it's bogus and were just trying to look cool or interesting? Do the people commenting about how it worked truly believe they succeeded, or do they just not want to feel insecure for being unable to do something? Or is it all just some big joke and everyone is playing along? There are so many possibilities and whether it's unlocking your latent "psychic powers" or chanting spells at the moon to turn into a wolf I can never get enough. As long as people aren't getting themselves or others hurt by avoiding legitimate treatment for a serious health condition, anyway.
