"Correction. At least 2 of the bullets penetrated 28" of water in the video. The costco style jugs are 10" tall for reference, so 2 of them plus the detergent is 28"... The usual aproximate conversion factor for water to gel is .56. Not exact by any means but that would mean we should expect around 15" of penetration in gel. Other shots stopped inside the third jug, so over 20", but less than whatever the thickness of the third jug is. By all means correct me if you see otherwise. Thanks.

Thanks. Believe it or not, I start a lot of videos, but only finish and upload a few of them. I have the better part of an article on a mod for the Lee Loadmaster written, along with some video. However, I decided that it can use some improvements before I publish. I've found that the first video of a series tends to get all the traffic. So if I do something dumb and figure out a better way and publish that in the second video, people follow the advice of the first and never see the second. I've looked at your mold and nearly got it a time or two. I'd really like the 165 grain 10mm equivalent too.

I've tested couple NOE HP bullets, one was 359-115-RF drops about 110gr HP, cast from range lead and shot in to water jugs it expanded in to very nice mushroom, petals didn't break at all, this was from 38 special. Another bullet Kenny sent me I believe was like your I was hopping to see a close up in your video was cast from COWW and the air cooled ones expanded nicely but not as nice as mine, the petals were intact 95% but mushroom was smaller and not as round and there was some fracture lines in the petals.

This is the goldilocks weight IMO for 9mm, so I was pretty excited to see a 4 cav Aluminum version available. I'm very happy with it. Eventually I want to get a chrono, clear gel, and some virgin alloy to tune it to 17" of penetration. Until then, it's nice to have HPs when I can't buy them. I gave away all my 9mm defensive ammo to people who didn't have them, so this is a good backup. I know not fully proven, but what I saw said these ought to be at least as good as the old Federal Power Shok 9mm. Accuracy was excellent. I did have to adjust my sights to a higher point of impact vs the 135 grain Hornady +P critical duty that used to be my ammo for that gun.

The question I have is if you have a bird Shot can you open up the bird shot pour it all out and then put Buckshot in or will it not have enough powder behind it

That doesn't make sense. The same amount of powder would be there.

Yupp. You would like the future step. Al gave me some blank pins when I bought the mold. Free too. I asked how much to buy some, and he just threw them in! So I think I will make 4 sided pyramid pins. What do you think?
