I really appreciate that you made this. When JJ started the Demise SMP, tons of small creators who were looking for a shot at being apart of a creator SMP were looking to join up. In response, JJ opened an application process, in which creators could make a video that would show their "value" as a creator (this was around the start of smp application videos). I knew people who spent tens of hours perfecting their video, going through great lengths of effort just to get noticed. A lot of them were extremely talented. In the end, JJ picked the biggest youtuber who applied (a shorts youtuber with a dead channel), as well as a few other creators with content styles that were the closest to his (the tommyinnit style captions, nintendo music, etc). Almost all of the new members from that incident ended up leaving the SMP weeks or months later. As for the rest of the applicants? Nothing. No feedback, no words of encouragement, not even a notice they were denied. Just ignored. A terrible way to handle your community.

I’ve been working on an smp idea to hopefully revive the community for a while, and seeing this make me realize just how much I need to do to make a non-toxic and genuinely wholesome/fun community for my smp. Thanks for bringing this up, your an absolute legend man

wow, feels like this is a video that needs to be made. it's common knowledge that most smps are faked, heavily exaggerated cash grabs, but nobody shows the lengths they'll go just to keep their fragile reputations upheld. I think the reason you blew up is that people could tell your content is real. Theyre tired of fake content that doesnt reflect reality, because nearly every small smp has problems with corruption, bigotry, and cheating and every big smp is faked. Keep up the good work artual

I’ve never been able to enjoy traditional SMP content as a result of the obnoxiously scripted material, but dawg your editing and storytelling is top-tier. The incredible music taste, the great PvP and tactics, and your straightforward personality that seeks to make things right is so dope man. I can see that you’re actively bettering yourself and it’s impacting your content, so you asking these other creators so simply try to better themselves as well is truly powerful. I hope your efforts can reach these people someday and perhaps a new standard of smp content could be set, maybe not one that involves genuinely awful people being brought to the light, but like actually fun clan wars or huge server projects just for example. This just furthers my motivation to make a story-based SMP with my friends. Scripted, yes, but with thought put behind the story (and being transparent about the scripting). No just inviting people willy-nilly, just a small passion project about close friends playing Minecraft, building fun stuff, and telling a story together. Even if it takes a while to find the time to get it started, what with me and my friends’ schedules (I’m a college student), I’m hoping to do it someday.

One thing I always noticed about the infuse smp is whenever they show the "grand reveal" of their project, the members always marvel at it even before they saw it, and if they lie about that, how much of the video do they lie about?

Around 2 weeks ago, someone accused Sharkilz of being a pedo in Blisscord, Bliss SMP's public discord. Sharkilz then proceeds to send the Blisscord invite link in the Infuse private, proved by 3 Infuse members start saying that you're dumb if you believe the allegations. Sharkilz can't take any drama or ignore it, so he's probably mad in the corner. (I'm probably going to get banned Infuse discords now)

Strength SMP trying to "chill" with you is just them wanting to make you like them so you dont ruin their reputation.

Like half a year ago I was apart of this community and to say it was horrible was an understatement. Every smp is a mindless content farm that doesn’t care about anything except their content. I’ve only been apart of 2 GENUINE smps that were fun and able to get me content at the same time, these were all made years ago. Currently I’m looking to come back into it but create my own smp that changes how smps are currently looked at. I love Minecraft and it’s unfair that it’s getting such a bad reputation due to factors only these bad smp owners can control. Again tysm for talking abt this. (P.s. I’m not sure if you know this but upon joining infuse you aren’t allowed to create content on any other servers, I’ve heard this from a couple of friends that have or are apart of infuse)

I joined an SMP once and my friend (owner of the server) literally uses gamemode to get stuff. Like when I beat the Ender Dragon and got the elytra, he went into gamemode and gave 1 to him and his other friends. But I got kicked out of the SMP when I told them to not use gamemode. Now we're not friends

Artual, Thank you for adressing this issue. I think what youre doing is going to help SMP content in the long run. If you continue to call out these creators, their ego's will be hurt, and this has already been proven by how infuse has taken it. If things go well, I hope to see a change in how SMP content is made and hopefully everyone can be as good as a youtuber as you are. Again, thank you Artual, it takes a lot of guts to be able to bring this up. Keep doing making the content you make (since its awesome) and keep calling out these youtubers for the things they are doing.

Maybe this is a crazy hot take but 13-15 year olds shouldn't be blowing up on KZfaq in the first place. That's a ton of pressure on someone who's really young and that can fuck with someone really badly- fame pushes full-grown adults to weird and often horrible places, and these are people who already have life experience and a greater understanding of how the world works. A 15 year old probably doesnt even know how much a loaf of bread costs at the grocery store, much less how to handle the social pressure of thousands of people and how to stay humble in the face of a huge income.

As a former SMP content creator, literally EVERYTHING you said in this video is so true. I was on strength, and I used to be a friend of Tai, but I found out who he really was after a few months of hanging out and I was utterly disgusted. His only goal is to farm content, switching out SMP members that he thinks will bring him more views and grow his own channel and make him, in turn, more money. As a creator, I was encouraged to make boring, meaningless content that had little substance and followed an extremely basic and boring plot line. I got so bored of making this “content” that I actually went back to my old style of pvp content and montages which I enjoyed much more and the skill I was obtaining was far more rewarding than killing the bad players on Strength. The most important thing to Tai is getting collabs with big KZfaqrs like Rasplin, Sharpness, and Marlow and he has absolutely no compunction when it comes to the morality of his actions. I brought Marlow and Itz to Strength with a video I made, and Tai just used me to gain popularity and eventually used Marlow to start a public server that would make him even more money (which luckily failed and has since shut down). There are many other “content” creators that I’ve worked with and criticised that make extremely generic and boring videos and don’t expose their true personalities in their videos. They’re actually extremely stuck-up, toxic, and disrespectful to their fans that they take for granted. When I was a creator, I made a point of accepting all friend requests and talking with my viewers, but that is rarely the case for SMP KZfaqrs. I hope more videos like this are circulated and one day KZfaqrs like Tai are exposed for what they really are, thanks Artual.

I’ve had some interesting interactions with this individual (InfamousJJ). I have asked him about joining the SMP before and have been involved with some beef with him on Twitter. It is pretty safe to say that he’s a pretty toxic person and he is not a kind individual to interact with. He also tried to call my videos “#ss”. I don’t script any of my videos at all so he can’t be talking at all.

I was invited to loads of SMP'S. Upon joining you realize how toxic they are and how fake everyone is. Its really disgusting. Its why i dont make smp content anymore and aimed somewhere else. Where I can make authentic content that I love! Thank you for sharing this info to the public. The folks really need to know this issue in the youtube community. Loads of SMP creators where masks. Hi there. I am curious were you ever in sinister smp or seeker smp. I tried getting into smp content a while ago and I feel like I recognize you from somewhere.

It's really good that you're bringing this topic into the light. I have been a viewer of quite a few of these types of smp's and at some point it just seemed like watching the same video over and over again. It really shows how the creators mainly go for getting paid instead of creating a community by making engaging and interesting content. The problem is that when a new person tries watching minecraft content all they see is these types of videos and the impression the will probable get is "Wow, this is incredibly unoriginal and repetitive" which just doesn't help at all.

One time the owner of a Minecraft server I was in made an announcement in the discord was in admitting that he made the smp to make content to get into another more famous smp, and then said he was gonna delete the server. We tried to bargain to get ownership, even offered to pay for the server. Eventually he just blocked us all. It's ridiculous how these creators can thrive because of their scripted brainrot 💀
