They threw poorly trained men at a superior power hampered by politicians who drew arbitrary war rules such as limitations as to where aircraft could or couldn't go, which the vietkong then set up anti air there because they knew they were safe. If anything, you should thank America for defeating itself. But you won't do that, because it's much more convenient to believe you are invincible.

But the facts are they won and their blood was spilled by western invaders once again, Yes the US had superior fire power and better quality of soldiers so the Vietnamese had to think of a different way to do damage. Tactics are still tactics and a win is still a win regardless of how it achieved it. Vietnam won wether political or military kind of win the US was defeated and it wasn't even suppose to be in Vietnam either.

Well I mean people did win multiple times, they were a Chinese puppet state numerous times throughout history and then became both a French and then Japanese puppet. As a fellow South East Asian, I am proud to never forget how our Vietnamese brothers were able to fend off the Americans through the strength of guerilla warfare, when we could barely fend them off.

Yes, as a southeast asian i am envious of our vietnamese brothers, they successfully defeated France and America. I wish we have resisted evil Spain and America. Yet history has been made and we lost, hopefully we follow the steps of vietnam and make southeast Asia progressive while defending our own interests from the west.

Although I kinda agree what the South is trying to do, Ho Chi Minh from the North was trying to free us from the French who put wooden barriers between our necks, fought the Japanese who literally killed innocent people and the Americans who murdered innocent Children, Women and Men. The North was doing good and the South was just trying to defend the atrocities by the Mericans. Im sorry to oppose your opinions but the North were not all that evil, they are the reason why you can walk out of your home and have a free. Also, Vietnam is the more less strict Communist country out of every Communist Country and also one of the richest.

This and the ballad of Ho Chi Min are my favourite southeast-asian related songs. The only reason I prefer the Ballad of Ho Chi Min is because it is in English (and sung by a folk *legend*), but Vietnamese is quite a beautiful tongue. It is the only tonal language Ive seen to date that I would actually try to learn.
